The complex of ‘Abd al-Samid at Natanz, (end of the first decade of the 14th century) includes several buildings: a four-iwan mosque, an octagonal sanctuary, a minaret, and a mosque from the 1930s fronted by a fourteenth-century portal (pīshṭāq). The portal, the only remains of a khanqah, occupies the western end of the southern façade. It takes the form of an iwan, covered in a rich variety of patterns of colourful glazed tile and unglazed carved terracotta. It is adorned by a majestic muqarnas vault of six rows ending at the top with a starry motif. Scanning protein sequence database is an often repeated task in computational biology and bioinformatics. However, scanning large protein databases, such as GenBank, with popular tools such as BLASTP requires long runtimes on sequential architectures. Due to the continuing rapid growth of sequence databases, there is a high demand to accelerate this task. In this paper, we demonstrate how GPUs, powered by the Compute Unified Device Architecture (CUDA), can be used as an efficient computational platform to accelerate the BLASTP algorithm. This thesis examines the implementation of enterprise architecture (EA) in the Finnish public sector. EA is a systematic approach for analysing, visualising, developing and governing the functions and structures of organisations. It describes how organisations businesses, information and systems function as a whole. Research and practice have shown the implementation of EA is challenging and slow to advance. Finland provides a prolific area for research since the use of EA is mandatory in public sector, which is rare amongst countries taking a whole-of-government EA approach. Zero-shot Semantic Segmentation using Relation Network

Zero-shot learning (ZSL) is widely studied in recent years to solve the problem of lacking annotations. Currently, most studies on ZSL are for image classification and object detection. But, zero-shot semantic segmentation, pixel level classification, is still at its early stage. Therefore, this work proposes to extend a zero-shot image classification model, Relation Network (RN), to semantic segmentation tasks. We modified the structure of RN based on other state-of-the-arts semantic segmentation models (i.e. U-Net and DeepLab) and utilizes word embeddings from Caltech-UCSD Birds 200-2011 attributes and natural language processing models (i.e. word2vec and fastText).
