From Organization Business Model to Information System: One Approach and Lessons Learned

The system ISTechnology and lessons learned of its use in the business modeling and development of information systems are analyzed in the paper. The system consists of the meta-model and applications. The meta-model enables to define a platform independent business model of the organization. The applications provide the definition and interpretation of the business model. Interpretation of the business model provides functionality of the information system in the selected platform. The lessons learned confirm that the development and maintenance cost of information systems can be significantly reduced by use of the ISTechnology.

In the paper are listed the main types of architectures of systems for business process management. Thus, we can identify several categories of such architectures, namely architectures of workflow management systems, flexible workflow management architectures, service-oriented architecture, advanced service composition, and data-driven approaches. As such, there are two of the five categories, namely architectures of workflow management systems and architectures of flexible workflow management systems, and a methodology is proposed for developing solutions for business process management.

This paper describes a prototype system for partial automation of customer service operations of a mobile telecommunications operator with a human-in-the loop conversational agent. AbstractGiven a prescribed boundary of a Bezier surface, we compare the Bezier surfaces generated by two different methods, i.e., the Bezier surface minimising the biharmonic functional and the unique Bezier surface solution of the biharmonic equation with prescribed boundary. Although often the two types of surfaces look visually the same, we show that they are indeed different. In this paper, we provide a theoretical argument showing why the two types of surfaces are not always the same.
