Molecular complexes between glycolic acid and nitrogen were studied in a low-temperature argon matrix with FTIR spectroscopy, and supported by MP2 and BLYPD3 calculations. The calculations indicate 11 and 10 stable complex structures at the MP2 and BLYPD3 levels of theories, respectively. However, only one hydrogen-bonded complex structure involving the most stable SSC conformer of glycolic acid was found experimentally, where the nitrogen molecule is bound with the carboxylic OH group of the SSC conformer. Sphalerite (ZnS) is an abundant ore mineral and an important carrier of elements such as Ge, Ga and In used in high-technology applications. In situ measurements of trace elements in natural sphalerite samples using LA-ICP-MS are hampered by a lack of homogenous matrix-matched sulfide reference materials available for calibration. A Novel Gas Chromatographic Method to Measure Sorption of Dense Gases into Polymers

A novel experimental approach to determine the solubility of gaseous compounds inside polymers is here described. The method is based on the gas chromatographic determination of the composition of the fluid phase at equilibrium with the polymer. To take into account the effect of the volume swelling on the measurement a suitable probe, nonabsorbable by the polymer, was added to the fluid phase. Under the adopted configuration the apparatus can operate up to 35 MPa and 80°C. This experimental technique has been used to determine the solubility of carbon dioxide in poly(vinylidene fluoride) using argon as a probe. A novel experimental apparatus for measuring gas absorption has been adopted to study sorption of carbon dioxide CO2 and vinylidenefluoride (VDF) in a semi crystalline polymer, namely poly(vinylidenefluoride) (PVDF). The experimental technique allows to calculate simultaneous absorption of different components in the polymer phase, through a gas chromatographic determination of the composition of the fluid phase. To take into account indirectly the polymer swelling, a suitable not-absorbable probe, namely argon, has been added to the fluid phase. Abstract Solid solutions of Ar:N 2 and ( KBr ) 1− x ( KCN ) x mixed crystals show a so-called orientational glass state where the orientations of the aspherical species, N 2 respectively CN - , are frozen in random patterns. The main experimental characteristics of this state and the pertinent theoretical concepts are discussed.

Pelargonium graveolens należy do rodziny Geraniaceae. Roślina ta jest aromatycznym, owłosionym krzewem, sięgającym 1,2 metra wysokości i osiągającym 1 m szerokości. Jej liście są mocno powcinane, miękkie w dotyku i wydzielają intensywny zapach, natomiast kwiaty są małe, zwykle różowe, zebrane w baldachy. La revista, como un producto de género, es una expresión prototípica del concepto Bachtiano de ‘ideologema’, tal como lo desarrolla Kristeva en 1969, sin embargo, por lo que concierne «Legioni e Falangi/Legiones y Falanges», es un ideologema de identidad que tiene su forma y su sustancia de la expresión, por decirlo con Hjelmslev.
