Observation of TeV gamma rays from the Cygnus region with the ARGO-YBJ experiment

We report the observation of TeV gamma-rays from the Cygnus region using the ARGO-YBJ data collected from 2007 November to 2011 August. Several TeV sources are located in this region including the two bright extended MGRO J2019+37 and MGRO J2031+41. According to the Milagro data set, at 20 TeV MGRO J2019+37 is the most significant source apart from the Crab Nebula. No signal from MGRO J2019+37 is detected by the ARGO-YBJ experiment, and the derived flux upper limits at 90% confidence level for all the events above 600 GeV with medium energy of 3 TeV are lower than the Milagro flux, implying that the source might be variable and hard to be identified as a pulsar wind nebula. We present measurements of Ar-broadening parameters for the R(0) and R(7) lines in the fundamental band of13CO at eight temperatures from 80 to 297 K. The broadening parameters are determined by simultaneous least-squares fitting of spectra recorded using a frequency stabilized diode laser spectrometer. The comparison of the broadening parameter values for R(7) derived at room temperature and different pressures from different line profiles shows that an empirical line profile, which takes into account narrowing effects (Dicke narrowing and absorber speed dependence) but neglects any correlation between collisions, is able to describe the observed lines with constant values of the narrowing…

Las peculiaridades de la corte de Felipe III permitieron a algunos representantes de la alta aristocracia ligados al duque de Lerma, por parentesco o amistad, incrementar su poder y su peso político. Entre éstos, los Lemos tuvieron un papel de primer orden, especialmente en lo relativo a las cortes periféricas de la Península Italiana. En este trabajo se analizan algunos aspectos de la carrera politica de Francisco Lemos, VIII conde de Castro que entre 1601 y 1621 estuvo en los lugares clave para el equilibrio de la política internacional: Nápoles, Venecia, Roma, Sicilia.

Es wird ein Homodyngerat zur Messung der inelastischen Lichtstreuung beschrieben, das mit einem Argon-Ionenlaser ausgerustet ist und mit einem Autokorrelator arbeitet. Das Gerat wird benutzt, um das Verhalten der Fadenmolekule von Cellulosenitrat in verdunnter Losung zu untersuchen. Mit dieser Technik wird es moglich, sogar fur unabgebaute native Cellulose die Diffusionskoeffizienten der Translation D zu bestimmen, die ein sehr niedriges D (<10−7 cm2 s−1) aufweisen und bisher nur naherungsweise bekannt waren, da die konventionellen Mestechniken der optischen Beobachtung eines Konzentrationsausgleiches dann recht ungenau werden.
