The research topic of this dissertation is the press of the Social Democratic Party of Finland (SDP) from the March revolution of 1917 in Russia to the end of the Finnish Civil War in the spring of 1918. Under research are 16 party papers, which, however, were not owned by the party, and therefore neither under its guidance nor control. The papers' owners, local working class organizations, elected the editors-in-chief, who often held central posts in the party. In this way they could use their relatively independent positions to further their political views in their editorials. Selective writing and read-out of a register of static qubits

We propose a setup comprising an arbitrarily large array of static qubits (SQs), which interact with a flying qubit (FQ). The SQs work as a quantum register, which can be written or read-out by means of the FQ through quantum state transfer (QST). The entire system, including the FQ's motional degrees of freedom, behaves quantum mechanically. We demonstrate a strategy allowing for selective QST between the FQ and a single SQ chosen from the register. This is achieved through a perfect mirror located beyond the SQs and suitable modulation of the inter-SQ distances.

Tämän kandidaatintutkielman tarkoituksena oli analysoida Fëanoria, fantasiakirjailija J.R.R. Tolkienin luomaa fiktiivistä sankarihahmoa. Kuvaileva kirjallisuustutkimus jakaantui kahteen osaan: Toisaalta Fëanoria verrattiin traagisen sankarin käsitteeseen käyttämällä Aristoteleen Runousopissa (330-320 eKr.) kuvailemia sääntöjä ja vaatimuksia. Toisaalta Fëanoria verrattiin Kalevalan myyttiseen seppähahmoon, Seppo Ilmariseen. Fëanoria ja Seppo Ilmarista vertailemalla tarkasteltiin myös yleisemmin J.R.R. Artikkelissa tarkastellaan maahanmuuton kielikysymyksiä Unkarista Suomeen ja Ruotsiin työllistyneiden terveydenhuollon ammattilaisten näkökulmasta. Neksusanalyyttisessä viitekehyksessä tutkitaan sitä investointia, jonka nämä työntekijät tekevät oppiakseen uutta, työssä tarvitsemaansa kieltä eli suomea tai ruotsia. Tutkimusasetelma on pitkittäinen, ja analyysi perustuu terveydenhuollon ammattilaisten sekä muutamien kielikoulutuksesta ja rekrytoinnista vastaavien henkilöiden haastatteluihin. This is an introduction to a compilation of six articles on language ideologies in the Romanian Banat. My dissertation was initiated by fieldwork in the area, resulting to a database of interviews among the Hungarian and German inhabitants. This data is compared to intellectual writings. With regards to researcher position, I identify myself as a traveler in the area and as a foreign scholar. Latviešu valodā. Darba literatūras apskatā apkopota informācija par α,β-nepiesātināto sulfonamīdu atvasinājumu sintēzes metodēm. Darbā tika sintezēti α,β-nepiesātināto sulfonamīdu diarilatvasinājumi. Sintezēto vielu struktūra tika pierādīta ar KMR spektroskopiju.
