The current state of knowledge regarding uncertainties in urban drainage models is poor. This is in part due to the lack of clarity in the way model uncertainty analyses are conducted and how the results are presented and used. There is a need for a common terminology and a conceptual framework for describing and estimating uncertainties in urban drainage models. Practical tools for the assessment of model uncertainties for a range of urban drainage models are also required to be developed. This paper reports the results of a field investigation aimed to establish morphological similarity between rills and ephemeral gullies. Rill measurements were made on 14 plots having a surface area of 22–352 m2 located on a 14·9% slope and on a plot 6·0 m wide and 22·0 m long having a uniform 22·0% slope. The plots are located on the experimental station for soil erosion measurements, ‘Sparacia’, of the Agricultural Faculty of Palermo University, in Sicily, Italy. A Tsetlin Machine with Multigranular Clauses

The recently introduced Tsetlin Machine (TM) has provided competitive pattern recognition accuracy in several benchmarks, however, requires a 3-dimensional hyperparameter search. In this paper, we introduce the Multigranular Tsetlin Machine (MTM). The MTM eliminates the specificity hyperparameter, used by the TM to control the granularity of the conjunctive clauses that it produces for recognizing patterns. Instead of using a fixed global specificity, we encode varying specificity as part of the clauses, rendering the clauses multigranular. Tumor tissue oxygenation as evaluated by computerized-po2-histography

A computerized pO2 measurement system with a novel electrode motion pattern (Sigma-pO2-histography) was evaluated in vitro and in vivo. The system was found to be reliable in 0.9% saline and 10% hydroxyethylene starch solution and in fresh donor blood. Marked deviations were found in lipid and hemoglobin solutions and in fluorocarbon emulsions. Histograms obtained in rat liver, mouse muscle, and subcutis were similar to previously reported distributions. Direct comparison between Sigma-Eppendorf and self-constructed Whalen-type electrodes in hypoxic tumors gave similar results. Improved Hölder regularity for strongly elliptic PDEs

We establish surprising improved Schauder regularity properties for solutions to the Leray-Lions divergence type equation in the plane. The results are achieved by studying the nonlinear Beltrami equation and making use of special new relations between these two equations. In particular, we show that solutions to an autonomous Beltrami equation enjoy a quantitative improved degree of H\"older regularity, higher than what is given by the classical exponent $1/K$.
f2(1810) as a triangle singularity

We perform calculations showing that a source producing ${K}^{*}{\overline{K}}^{*}$ in $J=2$ and $L=0$ gives rise to a triangle singularity at 1810 MeV with a width of about 200 MeV from the mechanism ${K}^{*}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\pi}K$ and then $K{\overline{K}}^{*}$ merging into the ${a}_{1}(1260)$ resonance. We suggest that this is the origin of the present ${f}_{2}(1810)$ resonance and propose to look at the $\ensuremath{\pi}{a}_{1}(1260)$ mode in several reactions to clarify the issue.
Fuzzy Concepts in Small Worlds and the Identification of Leaders in Social Networks

In the study of the Social Networks, the Small World phenomenon appears frequently. We apply some techniques of graph theory and fuzzy sets to characterize the Small World features as well as the existence of the figure of leader in Social Networks. These techniques help to the conceptual formalization in relational networks analysis, by transforming linguistic and human-focused manner concepts related to social networks in some formal representation. These techniques are also applied when the similarity among nodes wants to be measured in order to study the current homophily present in a Network.

We performed an immunogenetic analysis of 345 IGHV-IGHD-IGHJ rearrangements from 337 cases with primary splenic small B-cell lymphomas of marginal-zone origin. Three immunoglobulin (IG) heavy variable (IGHV) genes accounted for 45.8% of the cases (IGHV1-2, 24.9%; IGHV4-34, 12.8%; IGHV3-23, 8.1%). Particularly for the IGHV1-2 gene, strong biases were evident regarding utilization of different alleles, with 79/86 rearrangements (92%) using allele *04. Among cases more stringently classified as splenic marginal-zone lymphoma (SMZL) thanks to the availability of splenic histopathological specimens, the frequency of IGHV1-2*04 peaked at 31%.
