Ievads: Uz doto brīdi pastāv dažādas mikroorganismu diagnostiskas metodes, taču cilvēki joprojām cieš no infekcijas slimībām, kā arī mikroorganismu rezistence turpina augt. Tas liek aizdomāties par to, ka joprojām nav izdomāta ātra, lēta un maksimāli efektīva diagnostiskas metode. Jaunievedums – ir sen aizmirsts vecais. Spektrofotometrija ir sena metode, taču pagaidām netiek izmantota mikroorganismu atpazīšanai, kas dod iespēju pamēģināt uzlabot un renovēt to. Pētījuma mērķis ir noskaidrot mākslīgā bāzes punkāta absorbcijas pakāpi, pie kuras varētu identificēt mikroorganismus, izmantojot spektrofotometru un silīcija dioksīda mikrodaļiņas.
