Suomalaisten musiikkiartistien markkinointitavat Facebookissa : sisällönanalyysi viiden artistin Facebook-päivityksistä
2014
Työn tarkoituksena oli selvittää, millaista markkinointia suomalaiset artistit käyttävät Facebookissa. Lisäksi selvi-tettiin, onko markkinointiviestintä tutkittavien artistien kohdalla kommunikoivaa. Kolmanneksi tarkoituksena oli tarkastella, toimivatko artistien päivitykset markkinoinnin osana vai onko niillä jokin muu tarkoitus. Tutkimuksen aineisto koostui viiden suomalaisen artistin puolen vuoden Facebook-päivityksistä sekä kaikesta artistien Facebook-sivuilla tapahtuneesta viestinnästä ja kommunikaatiosta yhden kuukauden ajalta. Ai-neistoa tarkasteltiin sisällönanalyysin keinoin markkinoinnin näkökulmasta. Tutkimus osoitti, että suomalaiset artistit käyttivät Facebookissa useita eri ma…

«Transitorietà e ritribalizzazione delle immagini nelle spaziazioni museali contemporanee»
2015

2014
The representation of the artist is generally that of a nonconformist, a lonely Bohemian eager to revolutionise the world from his studio. From this perspective, the traditional interpretation of art history is one of linear progress, spurred on by moments of innovation aiming at new states of conventionalism. This article shows how such a perspective has much to do with the philosophy of modern times, even though it doesn’t provide a satisfactory explanation of the meaning and development of art throughout the centuries, bound as they are instead to the necessity of convention with the values of society (or of its élite) rather than on wild individualism.
Enterprising Culture : Discourses on Entrepreneurship in Nordic Cultural Policy
2017
ABSTRACTThe sphere of arts and culture has been going through a process of economic reevaluation during the last few decades. Parallel to the rise of a creative economy discourse, which both in its political and scientific forms has highlighted the economic significance of culture and arts, entrepreneurship has become a feature in the cultural policy of many countries. In this article, we compare how entrepreneurship is established and used as a concept in cultural policy discourses in two Nordic countries, Norway and Finland. Through analyzing policy plans and documents, we discuss what is seen as positive cultural or artistic activity in the framework of entrepreneurship, and we identify …

Dispositif of creativity, gender and the precarisation of artistic work
The aim of this article is to open up theoretical perspectives to the research of the status of the artists and especially on its gender analysis. My principal points of references are the writings of a British cultural theorist Angela McRobbie and her concepts of disposi- tif of creativity and postfeminist sexual contract. The Foucauldian concept dispositif of creativity is used to illustrate how the features of artistic working conditions are in uenced by the wider and creativity-emphasizing current of changes taking place in the general sphere of production, therefore making the working con…
International artists-in-residence 1990-2010 : mobility, technology and identity in everyday art practices
2016
Considering the exponential growth of artistic residencies between 1990 and 2010 at an international level, artists working in associated mobility programmes have been challenged by unsettled transnational working practices and competition. This, in turn, provides them with the opportunity to develop their creative processes. It is shown that artists’-in-residence openness and willingness to travel internationally is, on the one hand, related to the development of information technology, and on the other, supported by travelling facilities, which have impact on lifelong learning and cultural maintenance. Whereas change of geographical environment is often associated to psychological and phy…
