Dans cet article, nous proposons de partir à la découverte des collections d’antiquités du musée des Beaux-Arts et d’Archéologie de Besançon, l’un des plus anciens musées de France, issu du legs de l’abbé Boisot, daté de 1694, qui comprenait, outre la bibliothèque du cardinal de Granvelle, une collection de médailles et une vingtaine d’objets d’art, et a été récemment rénové . Nous avons choisi de nous concentrer sur quelques-uns des personnages qui, par leurs actions ou leurs donations, ont enrichi le musée entre les années 1870 et la première guerre mondiale. Communicating through ancillary gestures: Exploring effects on coperformers and audiences

Musicians make elaborate movements while performing, often using gestures that might seem extraneous. To explore these movements, we motion-captured and audio-recorded different pairings of clarinetists and pianists performing Brahms’ Clarinet Sonata No. 1 with two manipulations: (a) allowing the performers full vs. no visual feedback, and (b) allowing the performers full vs. partial auditory feedback (i.e., the clarinetist could not hear the pianist). El presente texto confirma que el monumento funerario encargado en 1609 por Juan Alfonso Pimentel, conde-duque de Benavente a los genoveses Giuseppe Carlone y Oberto Casella fue para la sepultura del fraile Domingo Anadón en el convento de Santo Domingo de Valencia. Diplomdarba mērķis ir, balstoties uz literatūras avotiem un pareizas mācību priekšmeta programmas kritērijiem, izstrādāt priekšmeta “Programmēšana” programmu un priekšmeta “Programmēšana” standartu vidusskolai. Diplomdarba ietvaros tika izstrādāta mācību priekšmeta programma un mācību priekšmeta standarts. Pētījumā tika noskaidrots, ka mācību priekšmets ir realizējams vidusskolā, jo tā standarts tika atzīts par atbilstošu Ministru kabineta noteikumiem, un mācību priekšmeta programma ir atbilstoša izvirzītajiem mācību priekšmeta programmas novērtēšanas kritērijiem.

Bakalaura darba mērķis ir veikt struktūranalīzi filmām “Zvejnieka dēls” (1940) un “Zvejnieka dēls” (1957) pēc Kloda Levī-Strosa un Rolāna Barta mīta strukturālisma teorijām un identificēt filmu satura līdzības ar tā laika valdošajām ideoloģijām. Darba pirmajā nodaļā ir apskatītas abas mīta teorijas, Kārļa Ulmaņa ideoloģija un Padomju ideoloģija. Otrajā nodaļā, vadoties pēc aprakstītajām teorijām, ir analizētas abas filmas. Trešajā nodaļā ir parādīta abu filmu struktūru līdzība ar tā laika valdošajām ideoloģijām. Abas “Zvejnieka dēls” ekranizācijas atšķiras pēc stāsta struktūras; tās reprezentē atšķirīgu pasaules skatījumu un vērtību sistēmu, jo ir tikušas uzņemtas dažādās politiskās iekārtā…
A cross-cultural examination of fat women’s experiences: Stigma and gender in North American and Finnish culture

In this manuscript, the voices of women of size in North America and Finland indicate that there is a shared experience of being fat. Based on cross-cultural analysis of our respective empirical findings, we argue that there is a shared Western fat lived experience that perpetuates a stigmatized gendered landscape of living with a fat body. The emergent themes tended to revolve around two similar contradictions—the phenomenon of hyper(in)visibility and a belief their fatness is a temporary or liminal state—both of which lead to an internalization of fat hatred. Effects of responsible human resource management practices on female employees’ turnover intentions

This study focuses on the effects of socially responsible human resource management (SR-HRM) practices on female employees’ turnover intentions and the moderating effect of supervisor gender on this relationship. With a sample of 212 female employees from eight different industries in Finland, the results indicate that SR-HRM practices promoting equal career opportunities and work–family integration play a significant role in reducing women's turnover intentions. The study adds to the academic discourse of corporate social responsibility by highlighting the impact of the organizational-level HRM determinants on the individual-level outcome. This article contributes to scholarship on migrant women’s second language (L2) education in North America and Europe. Brazilian jiu jitsu (BJJ), a grappling system of combat, evolved from the teachings of a Japanese judoka who moved to Brazil in the 1920s. Focusing on ground fighting, BJJ is rapidly evolving into a combat sport with competitions taking place worldwide (Hogeveen and Hardes, 2014; Spencer, 2014). Unique to the BJJ culture is the way that the ‘secrets’ of the sport are transferred from expert to novice and from one club to the other. Clubs are organised into international ‘teams’, shaping global communities of practitioners that share techniques and philosophies. Women's Emotions Towards the Mobile Phone

The purpose of this study is to investigate whether women's emotions associate differently with the mobile phone depending on the type of family in which they live. James A. Russell's circumplex model of affect which explores four main emotional dimensions, excitement, distress, depression and contentment, was applied. The article is based on the female sub-sample (N = 3,704) of nationally representative survey data collected from Italy, France, the UK, Germany and Spain (N = 7,255) in 2009.
