A randomized trial of steroid avoidance in renal transplant patients treated with everolimus and cyclosporine

In this randomized trial renal transplant recipients were treated with basiliximab, everolimus 3 mg/day, low-dose CsA. At transplantation, patients were randomized to stop steroids at the seventh day (group A) or to continue oral steroids in low doses (group B). Of the 113 patients enrolled, 65 were randomized to group A and 68 to group B. All patients were followed for 2 years. During the study 28 (43%) group A patients required reintroduced corticosteroids. One patient died, in group B. The Graft survival rate was 97% in group A and 90% in group B. Tutkielmassa tarkastellaan BRIC-maiden harjoittamaa rahapolitiikkaa vuosina 2005-2015. Tutkielman päämääränä on selvittää, ovatko keskuspankit reagoineet rahapolitiikallaan inflaation ja tuotantokuilun lisäksi myös rahoitusmarkkinainformaatioon. Aineistona on käytetty reaaliaikaista aineistoa inflaation ja tuotantokuilun osalta. Abstract The brown rat, Rattus norvegicus, with a worldwide distribution, is the most commensal species among synanthropic rodents, since its main habitat, in urban as well as in rural areas, is always linked to humans. Therefore, people living in close proximity to rodent populations can be exposed to infection. Whereas bacteria and viruses are the best known rat-associated zoonoses in urban environments, the role of brown rats as reservoirs for helminth parasites and the associated risk for humans are less well known. Pepino mosaic virus (PepMV), a member of the genus Potexvirus , was first described in 1980 on pepino ( Solanum muricatum ) and was later isolated from different wild species of the genus Solanum (formerly Lycopersicon ) (Soler et al ., 2002). PepMV has been reported in several European countries and in North America, causing disease in tomato. In July 2008, plants of basil ( Ocimum basilicum ) showing interveinal chlorosis on young leaves were observed in three greenhouses in Sicily, in the area where tomato plants were found to be infected by PepMV in 2005 (Davino et al ., 2006). W roku 1808 zostały sporządzone inwentarze, m.in. „Realności klasztoru bazyliańskiego werchrackiego”, dzięki którym można w przybliżeniu ocenić jego sytuację materialną. Dokumenty te są obecnie częścią zasobu Centralnego Państwowego Archiwum Historycznego Ukrainy we Lwowie. Klasztor należał wówczas do diecezji przemyskiej, dekanatu potylickiego i cyrkułu żółkiewskiego. Przyczyną podjęcia pracy nad inwentarzem była planowana konfiskata mienia werchrackich bazylianów. Okazało się jednak, że z powodu zaniedbania kasata została odsunięta w czasie, a dostępne dzisiaj regestry nie były pierwszą próbą dokonania spisu dóbr należących do bazylianów w tym trudnym okresie. Ever since 1879, when Josef Hyrtl first formulated his thesis that the names of the cephalic and basilic veins, as applied to the arm veins, were of Arab origin, a discussion began between philologists and historians of medicine as the former defended the Greek source of such denominations whilst the latter shared the view of the Viennese anatomist. The author, after making a critical review of the -relevant works published hitherto, unearthes a text drawn from a Persian manuscript dating back to the 15th century that, in his view, confirms the rigthness of the Viennese anatomist's thesis.
