Coordinated Interpersonal Behaviour in Collective Dance Improvisation: The Aesthetics of Kinaesthetic Togetherness

International audience; Collective dance improvisation (e.g., traditional and social dancing, contact improvisation) is a participatory, relational and embodied art form which eschews standard concepts in aesthetics. We present our ongoing research into the mechanisms underlying the lived experience of "togetherness" associated with such practices. Togetherness in collective dance improvisation is kinaesthetic (based on movement and its perception), and so can be simultaneously addressed from the perspective of the performers and the spectators, and be measured. Abstract The study was designed to determine how individuals become socialised into folk, competitive ballroom, ballet and modern dance through an investigation of background variables, the influence of significant others and the participation profiles of dancers, and the identification of those socialization and involvement variables that best discriminate among different groups of dancers. Qualifying Building Information Models with Multi-Agent System

6 pages; International audience; This paper presents a new approach combining the 3D elements composing the environment of mobile agents with semantic descriptors from building information models. Our proposal is based on the IFC standard which is used in the field of Civil Engineering to build digital models of buildings during the design phase. The semantic of IFC objects composing the 3D environment is used to select and set up 3D objects and elements of simulation scenarios. The result of this process dynamically generates the input files to the JaSIM environment that performs the simulation.

AbstractIn the past few years, skills related to emotional intelligence (EI) have acquired special relevance in the educational domain. This study assesses EI in a sample of 155 students of 5 different specialities of a Master’s degree in Teacher Training for Secondary Education. Data collection was conducted through the administration of the Trait Meta Mood Scale-24 (TMMS-24) and the Mayer, Salovey & Caruso Emotional Intelligence Test (MSCEIT).
