Comparing pollen spectra from modified Tauber traps and moss samples: examples from a selection of woodlands across Europe

This paper compares pollen spectra derived from modified Tauber traps and moss samples from a selection of woodland types from Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Georgia, Greece, Poland, Switzerland and Wales. The study examines the representation of individual taxa in the two sampling media and aims to ascertain the duration of pollen deposition captured by a moss. The latter aim was pursued through the calculation of dissimilarity indexes to assess how many years of pollen deposited in a pollen trap yield percentage values that are most similar to those obtained from the moss. Polar bosons in one-dimensional disordered optical lattices

We analyze the effects of disorder and quasi-disorder on the ground-state properties of ultra-cold polar bosons in optical lattices. We show that the interplay between disorder and inter-site interactions leads to rich phase diagrams. A uniform disorder leads to a Haldane-insulator phase with finite parity order, whereas the density-wave phase becomes a Bose-glass at very weak disorder. For quasi-disorder, the Haldane insulator connects with a gapped generalized incommesurate density wave without an intermediate critical region.

Las concepciones estéticas son distintas, las relaciones entre el cangaço (movimiento revolucionario del nordeste de Brasil), mesianismo y el personaje Antonio das Mortes son abordadas en diferentes momentos sociales e históricos. En este trabajo se realiza una lectura del mapa de manifestaciones apócrifas alrededor de la figura de Max Aub, escritor que construye un universo de superchería literaria desde sus obras iniciales, abarcando y fusionando diferentes géneros. A partir del contraste con algunos de los textos franceses que leyó, y que supusieron una herencia cultural de gran valor, se esbozará un panorama que incluya tanto a los maestros y predecesores en la práctica apócrifa aubiana, André Gide y Valéry Larbaud fundamentalmente, como a sus sucesores más representativos: los narradores leoneses creadores de Sabino Ordás.
