The current automatic methods for detecting osteoarthritis using plain radiographs struggle to identify the subjects with early-stage disease. It has been shown that small doses of oral D-glyceric acid (DGA) activate mitochondrial metabolism and reduce inflammation among 50–60-year-old healthy volunteers. The present results with the same small doses reveal that after a 4-day DGA regimen, a dose of DGA activated the HO-1 pathway acutely, while enhanced inflammatory status after the 4-day DGA regimen seemed to be able to downregulate the HO-1 pathway in non-acute measurement. Blood bilirubin was strongly upregulated towards the end of the altogether 21-day study period with positive associations towards improved inflammation and reduced blood triglycerides. Lähtökohdat: Keski-Suomen keskussairaalassa on vuodesta 2011 järjestetty gastroenterologian monimuotoista perehdytys-koulutusta, joka on pakollinen kaikille kirurgian ja sisätautien alojen runkokoulutettaville. Tavoitteena on antaa kokonaiskuva tähystysten merkityksestä diagnostiikassa, tähystyksen aiheista, yleisimmistä endoskooppisista löydöksistä ja toimenpiteistä sekä niiden seurannasta. Noin 3 kuukauden koulutus sisältää itsenäistä opiskelua verkkomateriaaleista, oppimistehtävän ja harjoittelua tietokonepohjaisella tähystyssimulaattorilla. Audit Measurement of Crisis Communication Preparedness across Different Branches of Government : Sharing Experiences Gained in Finland

An audit measurement of crisis communication preparedness was conducted for 67 organizations, mainly on the national level, in Finland. This unique project was one of the ways to implement new crisis communication regulations getting into force a year earlier. Its purpose was to strengthen central government communication in incidents and emergencies. The audit consisted of a digital survey in the participating organizations and a reflection meeting on the level of each of the 14 branches involved.
