Il Piemonte romano ha conservato i segni manifesti della grandiosità del programma edilizio avviato dall’impero di Augusto in numerose città di nuova fondazione. La mole del progetto di un teatro e di un anfiteatro ha richiesto l’impiego di materiale, tecnologia e risorse artistiche, nel cantiere antico, in quantità tali da conservarne nei secoli le testimonianze più eclatanti. Questa iniziativa editoriale è stata promossa in una versione ridotta nel libro Il teatro di Augusta Bagiennorum. Dallo studio dei resti all’ipotesi ricostruttiva del progetto architettonico. Il DVD porta a conclusione l’intero progetto di ricerca finalizzato alla restituzione dei principali edifici che furono realizzati nell’antica città romana proposta da Maria Cristina Preacco, funzionario della Soprintendenza per i Beni Archeologici fino al 2013.
Les espaces funéraires laténien et augusto-tibérien des Reliades (Le Puy-en-Velay, Haute-Loire).

Le site des Reliades au Puy-en-Velay (Haute-Loire) a livré deux petits espaces funéraires à crémation utilisés entre La Tène finale et l’époque augusto-tibérienne. Caractérisés par une implantation sur un lieu à la topographie remarquable, ils ont fait l’objet d’aménagements paysagers qui viennent souligner leur caractère ostentatoire. Par ailleurs, la présence de bassins pose la question de l’utilisation de l’eau dans le cadre de cérémonies funéraires et/ou commémoratives. The Augusta area (SE Sicily) is one of the most industrialized and contaminated coastal environments in the Mediterranean region, having a relatively high influx of unregulated industrial effluents. Valuable sets of geochemical data (major elements and trace metals), obtained from box-core sediments collected along a transect from the Sicilian coastal zone seawards of Augusta and dated via 210Pb and 137Cs, indicated increased metal contamination (notably Hg) since ca 1940-1950, related to the industrial development of the area. This report presents the results of a second series of excavations carried out between the oppidum of Boviolles and the ancient city of Nasium. It affects an occupation dated between La Tène D2 and the beginning of the augustean period, characterized by a causeway linking the two entities, a level delivering traces of artisanal activities, wells and a cooking kiln. This occupation is also characterized by the presence of the Roman army embodied in many militaria. This presence is central to the issue of the development of the ancient settlement of Nasium.

Aquest Pla Director tracta sobre la potencialitat turística de les vies romanes, en particular sobre la Via Augusta al seu pas pel territori valencià. Els camins antics s’han emprat freqüentment com un recurs turístic que ofereix atractius diversos que permeten captar l’interés d’un públic amb interessos variats. Des d’aquest plantejament, particularment les vies romanes reuneixen possibilitats i recursos de diversa índole –naturals, esportius, culturals– que constituixen una base sòlida sobre la qual es pot proposar un projecte de valorització turística.

The paper deals with the sculptural images of the Iulio-Claudian princesses that were found in SIcily,. Beside iconography, the statuary types, associations and contexts of the portraits are treated, in order to understand the meanings and the role of the honors payed to the domus Augusta by the cities of Roman Sicily in shaping the new cultural landscape of the province after Augustus.
