Abstract Trebouxiophyceae is a wide class of green algae comprising coccoid and elliptic unicells, filaments, blades and colony-forming species that occur in diverse terrestrial and aquatic environments. Within this class, the genus Trebouxia Puymaly is among the most widespread lichen phycobionts worldwide. Anàlisi descriptiva de la mortalitat a Espanya durant el període 2000-2016. Per cada un dels anys del període es presenten el model de mortalitat, el model d'anys potencials de vida perduts suposant que la mortalitat entre 1 i 79 anys és evitable i el model d'anys potencials de vida perduts suposant que la mortalitat entre 1 i 69 anys és evitable. Es completa l’anàlisi amb l'evolució de la mortalitat de les principals causes de defunció durant el període. En l’evolució de la mortalitat s’han inclòs totes les causes que es reflecteixen als models de mortalitat i d’anys potencials de vida perduts dels anys 2000 i 2016, ordenant les causes d’acord al nombre de defuncions observades l’any 2000.
Laparoscopic lymph node dissection should be performed before fertility preserving treatment of patients with cervical cancer

Objective: The aim of this study is to assess our results of treatment of women with stage I cervical cancer > 2 cm in diameter seeking fertility preservation. Treatment consisted of Laparoscopic Pelvic and Paraaortic Lymphadenectomy (LPPLND), and when no nodal metastasis was detected, neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NACT) followed by radical vaginal trachelectomy (RVT). Patients with positive lymph nodes underwent primary chemoradiation. Methods: A cohort of women younger than 40 years of age with stage I disease > 2 cm who underwent LPPLND and either NACT and RVT or chemoradiation. Oncological outcome was evaluated prospectively. Physico-chemical and bacteriological parameters in a hypereutrophic lagoon (Albufera Lake, Valencia, Spain).

Several physico-chemical parameters related to water quality, as well as saprophytic and public health-related heterotrophic bacterial groups were studied in a hypereutrophic lake (Albufera, Valencia) at different seasons. Total microscopic and viable counts were compared, and, together with faecal indicators, were determined in water samples from different sites. Heterotrophic bacteria grown on nonselective medium were identified to genus level and a diversity index was calculated. Pseudomonas-Alcaligenes was the most frequently isolated group from all sampling sites along the study, following by Moraxella, Acinetobacter, Vibrio and Aeromonas. Preliminary study on analysis and removal of wax from a Carrara marble statue

This preliminary study has mainly focused on the wax identification by nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and removal. Wax is used for many purposes in the field of art as protective coatings on wooden, stone or metal objects. From the comparison of the spectra H NMR and in particular with the correspondence of the resonance peaks of the samples taken from the statue and beeswax and paraffin, we can conclude that the wax applied on the statue surface is beeswax. From our data, it can be concluded that, to remove the beeswax, from any stone support, the more effective solvent is the mixture of cyclohexane/ethyl acetate.
