Identifying clouds over the Pierre Auger Observatory using infrared satellite data

We describe a new method of identifying night-time clouds over the Pierre Auger Observatory using infrared data from the Imager instruments on the GOES-12 and GOES-13 satellites. We compare cloud. identifications resulting from our method to those obtained by the Central Laser Facility of the Auger Observatory. Using our new method we can now develop cloud probability maps for the 3000 km(2) of the Pierre Auger Observatory twice per hour with a spatial resolution of similar to 2.4 km by similar to 5.5 km. Our method could also be applied to monitor cloud cover for other ground-based observatories and for space-based observatories. (C) 2013 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

Le site de Lux La Perrouze (Saône-et-Loire) apporte de nouvelles données sur le Campaniforme bourguignon par la découverte d’une petit ensemble céramique remarquablement homogène, contenu dans le remplissage de quatre structures en creux. Cet ensemble se compose essentiellement de céramique commune, mais quelques gobelets décorés sont également à signaler. L’étude de ce mobilier permet de souligner la remarquable homogénéité des productions du groupe campaniforme bourguignon-jurassien tant pour leur chronologie que pour leurs affinités culturelles. Quant à Fin de partie... on finira donc tous dans des poubelles, à se hurler des vérités désagréables. Ce qui est toujours mieux que se faire enterrer dans le sable d’Oh les beaux jours. The recent mobilization of estranged fathers in France is the expression of a cause that emerged in the 1970s, following the feminist mobilizations of that time. InEurope, as in North America, these groups denounced a family justice that seemingly favours women by awarding them custody of the children and by relegatingfathers to provider status, in terms of child-support payments.
