Mikrozaļumu ķīmiskais sastāvs atkarībā no fotoperioda audzēšanas laikā

Literatūras apskatā ir aprakstīts augu ķīmiskais sastāvs un gaismas ietekme uz to. Apkopotas paraugu sagatavošanas un analīzes metodes. Darbā ir veikta četru dažādu ģiņšu mikrozaļumu diedzēšana pie 4, 8 un 12 stundu ilgiem fotoperiodiem. Spektrometriski ir noteikta kopējā hlorofila un karotenoīdu koncentrācija, kopējā polifenolu koncentrācija un antiradikālā aktivitāte augos. Noteica mikroelementu un makroelementu sastāvu augos ar ICP-MS metodi. Noteica brīvo aminoskābju koncentrāciju augos ar HPLC-MS metodi. Iegūtie dati salīdzināti savā starpā, kā arī tika salīdzināts ķīmiskais sastāvs atkarībā no fotoperioda.

Safety and immunomodulatory effects of three probiotic strains isolated from the feces of breast-fed infants in healthy adults: SETOPROB study.

We previously described the isolation and characterization of three probiotic strains from the feces of exclusively breast-fed newborn infants: Lactobacillus paracasei CNCM I-4034, Bifidobacterium breve CNCM I-4035 and Lactobacillus rhamnosus CNCM I-4036. These strains were shown to adhere to intestinal mucus in vitro, to be sensitive to antibiotics and to resist biliary salts and low pH. In the present study, a multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial with 100 healthy volunteers in three Spanish cities was carried out to evaluate the tolerance, safety, gut colonization and immunomodulatory effects of these three probiotics. Microbial communities play a key role in biogeochemical processes by degrading organic material and recycling nutrients, but can also be important food sources for upper trophic levels. Trophic cascades might modify microbial communities either directly via grazing or indirectly by inducing changes in other biotic or in abiotic factors (e.g., nutrients). About ten years ago the Linguistic Atlas of Sicily (ALS) adopted the dictionary-atlas tool. When the rich onomastic universe began to be investigated its use was also evaluated on three different oral corpora: one relating to the popular forms of the toponymic heritage (DAToS Dictionary-toponymic atlas of Sicily) one concerning the plural inventory of ethnic nicknames (DASES Dictionary-atlas of ethnic nicknames in Sicily) the latest afferent to the popular individual and family anthroponomastic heritage (DASS Dictionary-atlas of the nicknames of / in Sicily). Optimized In Silico Modeling of Drug Absorption after Gastric Bypass: The Case of Metformin

Bariatric surgery is an effective treatment for severe obesity and related comorbidities, such as type II diabetes. Gastric bypass surgery shortens the length of the intestine, possibly leading to altered drug absorption. Metformin, a first-line treatment for type II diabetes, has permeability-dependent drug absorption, which may be sensitive to intestinal anatomic changes during bypass surgery, including Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (RYGB).
