PROPAGATING INTERFACES IN A TWO-LAYER BISTABLE NEURAL NETWORK

The dynamics of propagating interfaces in a bistable neural network is investigated. We consider the network composed of two coupled 1D lattices and assume that they interact in a local spatial point (pin contact). The network unit is modeled by the FitzHugh–Nagumo-like system in a bistable oscillator mode. The interfaces describe the transition of the network units from the rest (unexcited) state to the excited state where each unit exhibits periodic sequences of excitation pulses or action potentials. En aquest treball ens hem proposat analitzar alguns dels europeismes fràsics presents al Llibre de paraules e dits de savis e filòsofs (entre 1291 i 1295) de Jafudà Bonsenyor, metge jueu de Barcelona. Es tracta d’una obra escrita en llengua catalana, a partir de “llibres aràbics”, útil per a l’estudi de la transmissió sapiencial d’Orient a Occident, a través d’Al Àndalus i Catalunya. Per a l’anàlisi, hem aplicat el mètode de concordances fràsiques, a partir del qual hem seleccionat, descrit, documentat, contrastat i validat deu proverbis com a europeismes. Too much? Excessive sexual experiences in bisexual women’s life stories

This article explores bisexual women’s sexual experiences at the edges of or between relationships. It draws on the follow-up interviews of a longitudinal interview set conducted in 2005 and 2014–2015 with bisexual women and their partners, who do not identify as bisexuals. Bisexual women’s spontaneous, detailed and affective narrations of sexual experiences in the follow-up interviews caught the author’s attention. Although the experiences were often narrated as pleasurable, they could be overwhelming, and women also expressed concern that they were excessive, “too much”. Pelvic girdle morphology in Stagonolepis, with remarks on aetosaur systematics

In recent years, the Upper Triassic deposits at Krasiejów (south-west Poland) have yielded several tetrapod taxa, both aquatic and terrestrial. Stagonolepis olenkae is one of the terrestrial vertebrates recovered there; a quadrupedal, armoured aetosaur, which belonged to the crocodile-line archosaurs with a characteristic shovel-shaped snout. Several previous studies (osteological, histological and taphonomic) have attempted to understand the mode of life, growth pattern and possible dimorphism of this species and on this basis, to interpret palaeoecological, palaeoclimatic and stratigraphical implications.
