Iedzīvotāju līdzdalība lielmēroga daudzdzīvokļu namu pagalmu vides labiekārtošanā

2020

2019

Maģistra darbā „Lībiskais dialekts rakstos un publiskā runā” veikta Vidzemes un Kurzemes lībisko izlokšņu izpēte publiska lietojuma apstākļos. Analizējamajā materiālā ietverti gan teksti, gan runas paraugi, īpašu uzmanību pievēršot pieraksta precizitātei un lietojuma sistēmiskumam. Pētīta arī izlokšņu lietojuma dinamika. Balstoties uz publiski pieejamiem televīzijas raidījumiem un interneta materiāliem, tāpat tekstiem, maģistra darbā apkopota informācija par lībiskā dialekta lietojumu publiskā telpā mūsdienās. Veiktā publiskas dialektālās runas analīze latviešu dialektoloģijā ir novitāte. Publiskās runas un tekstu materiāls analizēts, izmantojot darbus latviešu dialektoloģijā un areālajā li…

La pintura de flores de Miguel Parra (1780-1846)

2013

Although Miguel Parra Abril (Valencia, 1780-Madrid, 1846) is one of the most important Valencian School painters of floral still lifes, this aspect of his work remains little known. The present article addresses this oversight in two ways. First, by offering an overview of his oeuvre as a painter of floral subjects from his student days at the Fine Arts Academy of Valencia through his mature works. Second, by analyzing two heretofore-unpublished floral compositions in relation to his more familiar works, particularly those located in private collections until recent years.Aunque Miguel Parra Abril (Valencia, 1780-Madrid, 1846) es uno de los pintores de flores más importantes de la Escuela v…

Towards an Ontology for Information Systems Development—A Contextual Approach

2007

This chapter presents an ISD ontology, which aims to provide an integrated conceptualization of ISD through anchoring it upon a contextual approach. The ISD ontology is composed of concepts, relationships, and constraints referring to purposes, actors, actions, and objects of ISD. It is presented as a vocabulary with explicit definitions and in meta models in a UML-based ontology representation language. We believe that although not complete the ISD ontology can promote the achievement of a shared understanding of contextual aspects in ISD. It can be used to analyze and compare existing frameworks and meta models and as a groundwork for engineering new ISD methods, and parts thereof. IGI PU…

Structure of longitudinal chromomagnetic fields in high energy collisions

2014

We compute expectation values of spatial Wilson loops in the forward light cone of high-energy collisions. We consider ensembles of gauge field configurations generated from a classical Gaussian effective action as well as solutions of high-energy renormalization group evolution with fixed and running coupling. The initial fields correspond to a color field condensate exhibiting domain-like structure over distance scales of order the saturation scale. At later times universal scaling emerges at large distances for all ensembles, with a nontrivial critical exponent. Finally, we compare the results for the Wilson loop to the two-point correlator of magnetic fields.

Pattern Dystrophy of the Macula in a Case of Steinert Disease

2013

Introduction: Myotonic dystrophies are typically associated with ocular complications like ptosis, weakness of the ocular muscle and cataracts, but also with less recognized retinal changes. Case Report: A 41-year-old female with type 1 myotonic dystrophy complained of progressive vision loss. Slit lamp examination revealed the presence of typical bilateral polychromatic cataract with posterior subcapsular component. Dilated fundus examination was remarkable for bilateral macular depigmented changes. Multimodal imaging analysis of the macula suggested the presence of a butterfly-shaped pattern dystrophy. &l…

Benefits of the relations between editorial board members and scholarly journals. The case of Ibero-American journals of psychology

2017

[EN]: The objective of the present work is to delve into the publication habits of members of editorial committees of Ibero-American journals of psychology, collected in the Web of Science (WoS) between the years 2013 and 2015. Different bibliometric indicators were used and the results reveal a disparity in the participation of editorial board members from one journal to another, including a shorter article acceptance time and a larger number of citations, mainly in Web of Science and BIOSIS. Many of the editorial board members are researchers of recognized prestige in their discipline; therefore, by publishing articles in the journals in which they play a role, they offer a guarantee of s…

Extended Poster Abstract: Open Source Solution for Massive Map Sheet Georeferencing Tasks for Digital Archiving

2010

Scanned maps need to be georeferenced, to be useful in a GIS environment for data extraction (vectorization), web publishing or spatially-aware archiving. Widely used software solutions with georeferencing functionality are designed to suit a universal scenario for georeferencing many different kinds of data sources. Such general nature also makes them very time-consuming for georeferencing a large number of map sheets to a known grid. This work presents an alternative scenario for georeferencing large numbers of map sheets in a time-efficient manner and implements the approach as the MapSheetAutoGeoRef plug-in for the freely available open source Quantum GIS [1].

Sensory and chemical drivers of wine minerality aroma: An application to Chablis wines

2017

The goal of this work was to evaluate the effect of vineyard position on the minerality of wines and to establish relationships between minerality scores, sensory descriptors and chemical composition. Sensory analyses included minerality rating and free description performed by wine professionals under two conditions: orthonasal olfaction alone and global tasting. Chemical characterization included analysis of major and minor volatile compounds, volatile sulphur compounds, mercaptans, metals, anions and cations. Results showed a significant effect of the river bank on wine minerality scores only in the orthonasal olfaction condition, samples from the left being more mineral than those from …
