Studies of the properties of soil organic matter are essential for understanding the humification reactions and soil diagenesis processes. En contra de algunas posiciones, considero el autoconocimiento como un logro cognitivo genuino. Aunque no es incorregible ni infalible, el autoconocimiento es directo (no inferencial), a priori (no basado en la investigación empírica), y dotado de especial autoridad y presunción de verdad. La exigencia de responsabilidad civil al abogado que no ajusta su conducta a la lex artis es un fenóme-no creciente en Europa y, especialmente, en España. Estas demandas exigen acreditar el incumplimiento o la negligencia del abogado, el daño y la relación de causalidad entre aquel y este. En este trabajo nos centraremos en la identificación del daño en aquellos supuestos en que el abogado con su conducta priva al cliente del derecho a que su pretensión sea examinada por los tribunales, del acceso a la tutela judicial, planteándose, además, cómo se ha de calificar y valorarse el daño por la pérdida de la oportuni-dad, atendiendo a los pronunciamientos judiciales.

This review discusses a potential vascular basis for multiple sclerosis (MS). The idea that MS could be related to vascular disease is not new, with the first reports describing connections between veins and MS plaques dating from the 19th century. Endovascular treatment for chronic cerebrospinal venous insufficiency: is the procedure safe?

Objectives The aim of this report is to assess the safety of endovascular treatment for chronic cerebrospinal venous insufficiency (CCSVI). Although balloon angioplasty and stenting seem to be safe procedures, there are currently no data on the treatment of a large group of patients with this vascular pathology. Methods A total of 564 endovascular procedures (balloon angioplasty or, if this procedure failed, stenting) were performed during 344 interventions in 331 CCSVI patients with associated multiple sclerosis. Ptyctima (Acari, Oribatida) in various habitats in Finland

The oribatid species of the taxon Ptyctima were studied in eight habitat types (four forests, three bogs, and one shore). Altogether 19 species were found. The highest number of species (15) was found in marsh forests in southern Finland, and the lowest number (3) in eutrophic fens in northern Finland. Atropacarus striculus was the most common and abundant species in Finland. It was found in each habitat explored, especially abundant on shores, in marsh forests, and pine bogs.
