The study deals with the ways in which the general public and the government make use of new information and communication technologies. We analyze the physical locations of Internet sites with “fr” as their domain names. The data were provided by the French NIC center (AFNIC). Using this sample (a quarter of all French sites), we find a rather even distribution of French sites in the Paris area plus the other main French cities, and the remainder of France. Functional Features, spatial Features and the urban Dynamic across a long Lapse of Time. Heterogeneous data from different sources are to be formalised as functional and spatial features in order to study the spatial evolution of preindustrial cities in the « longue durée ». The aim is to establish a distinction between historically relevant functional features and geographically relevant spatial features in order to produce information better adjusted to study spatial dynamics. Effect of serotonin and calcium in normal and sensitized guinea pig isolated trachea

Tracheal strips from normal and actively sensitized guinea pigs were studied to determine the responses to serotonin (5-hydroxytryptamine, 5-HT ; 1 nM - 0.1 mM) and ouabain (0.1 μM - 0.1 mM), and the effects of increasing the extracellular calcium (Ca o ) concentration on tonic contractions elicited by 5-HT. Sensitized trachea exhibited an increased responsiveness and sensitivity to 5-HT and ouabain. Increases in Ca o to achieve final concentrations of 5, 10 and 20 mM caused concentration-related relaxations of normal and sensitized tissues contracted to a similar plateau level with 5-HT. Inhibition of the Na + /K + -ATPase by ouabain (10 μM) reversed the effects of Ca o from relaxation to …

In contemporary societies, mobility is considered as a social norm necessary for integration. Conversely, immobility is often seen as the opposite. Therefore, it is associated with a significant risk of exclusion. An approach in terms of exclusion involves a sociological orientation. Nevertheless, this thesis follows a geographical approach. Thus, a first question emerges from this disciplinary position: immobility is it a geographical object?
