Associations between changes in physical fitness and psychological difficulties status among Norwegian adolescents

Abstract Objectives To investigate the associations for one-year changes in cardiorespiratory fitness, muscular strength and body mass index, with psychological difficulties status in adolescents. Methods Norwegian 14-15-year-olds (n = 925) participated in data collection at two time points separated by one year. Psychological difficulties were assessed via the Strengths and Difficulties questionnaire and data from follow-up serve as the dependent variable. Masteroppgave pedagogikk - Universitetet i Agder 2016 Det primære pedagogiske mandat, hovedansvaret for barnas oppdragelse, ligger hos foreldrene (Evenshaug & Hallen, 1997). Samtidig skal barnehagen i samarbeid med hjemmet «fremme læring og danning som grunnlag for allsidig utvikling» (barnehageloven, 2006, § 1). Denne kvalitative studien belyser hvordan hjem og barnehage i foreldresamtalen kommuniserer angående oppdragelse. Vaasan kaupungin varhaiskasvatuksessa on vuodesta 2016 toteutettu Kieliystävät-toimintaa. Kieliystävät-toiminnassa maistellaan lapsiryhmän kotikieliä arjen tilanteissa. Toimintaa ohjaa varhaiskasvatuksen henkilöstö omassa lapsiryhmässään. Kieliystävät-toiminta alkoi opetus- ja kulttuuriministeriön myöntämällä hankerahoituksella pilottitoimintana. El objetivo de este estudio es evaluar la capacidad de remineralización de lesiones incipientes de caries presentes en dientes permanentes de niños con edades comprendidas entre los 6 y los 15 años mediante una crema a base de complejos de fosfopéptidos de la caseína y calciofosfato amorfos, una crema a base de complejos de fosfopéptidos de la caseína y calciofosfato amorfos más flúor, barniz de flúor y barniz de clorhexidina, utilizando como métodos diagnósticos, un láser de fluorescencia (DIAGNOdent®) y el método clínico ICDAS II.

Occurrence of whale barnacles in Nerja Cave (Málaga, southern Spain): Indirect evidence of whale consumption by humans in the Upper Magdalenian

A total of 167 plates of two whale barnacle species (Tubicinella major Lamarck, 1802 and Cetopirus complanatus Morch, 1853) have been found in the Upper Magdalenian layers of Nerja Cave, Mina Chamber (Maro, Malaga, southern Spain). This is the first occurrence of these species in a prehistoric site. Both species are specific to the southern right whale Eubalena australis, today endemic in the Southern Hemisphere. Because of Antarctic sea-ice expansion during the Last Glacial Period, these whales could have migrated to the Northern Hemisphere, and reached southern Spain. Abstract We report on the emergence of the epibiotic barnacle Xenobalanus globicipitis in Guiana dolphins (Sotalia guianensis) from Sepetiba Bay, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in September 2018, six months after a lethal morbillivirus epidemic. Small boat surveys were conducted at the entrance and in the interior of the bay from January 2018 to February 2021. Dolphins were photo-identified and classified according to overall spatial use of the Bay. We examined the potential influence of the period and habitat on the prevalence of X. globicipitis. Kapittelet undersøker om en bevisstgjøringsstrategi med fem refleksjonstrinn kan bidra til at ansatte i barnehager kan øke bevisstheten om forholdet mellom egen oppvekst og profesjonell praksis. Tema er kjønn og likestilling, og det fokuseres på ansattes utsagn om egne erfaringer, samt erfaringer med bevisstgjøringsstrategien. Studien er utført i to barnehager, og funnene indikerer at metoden kan fremme bevissthet om kjønn og bidra til å redusere gapet mellom det private og det profesjonelle.
