In tragedies, deviant lives sometimes end in suicide and as forms of death wish, drowning and suffocation also herald other kinds of suicides. Tämä tutkielma kokoaa yhteen pankkeja nykyisin velvoittavat pääomien määrään ja maksuvalmiuteen sekä rahoitukseen liittyvät sääntelyt. Tutkielman tavoitteena on saada vastaus kysymykseen: Miten pankin tulee huomioida pankkisääntely pääoman ja varainhankinnan rakenteessaan? Tutkielman alussa esitellään pankkitoimintaa yleisesti ja siihen liittyviä optimointiongelmia. Do teachers’ professional vision and teaching experience always go hand in hand? Examining knowledge-based reasoning of Finnish Grade 1 teachers

This mixed-method study explored 54 Finnish Grade 1 teachers' professional vision and teaching experience. Teachers' retrospective think-aloud interviews, conducted while watching their eye-tracking recordings of classroom actions, were analysed according to the domains of knowledge-based reasoning. Negative associations between teaching experience and amount of knowledge-based reasoning were found. The qualitative examination of three teachers with different amounts of teaching experience provided concrete examples and broadened the findings. Radiotherapy (RT) plays a key role in cancer treatment. Although the benefit of ionizing radiation (IR) is well established, some findings raise the possibility that irradiation of the primary tumor not only triggers a killing response but also increases the metastatic potential of surviving tumor cells. Here we addressed the question of whether irradiation of normal cells outside of the primary tumor augments metastasis by stimulating the extravasation of circulating tumor cells. We show that IR exposure of human endothelial cells (EC), tumor cells (TC) or both increases TC-EC adhesion in vitro. A physically-based and distributed tool for modeling the hydrological and mechanical processes of shallow landslides

This work presents the capabilities of a model, i.e. the tRIBS-VEGGIE-Landslide, in two different versions, i.e. developed within a probabilistic framework and coupled with a root cohesion module. The probabilistic model treats geotechnical and soil retention curve parameters as random variables across the basin and estimates theoretical probability distributions of slope stability and the associated “factor of safety” commonly used to describe the occurrence of shallow landslides. The derived distributions are used to obtain the spatiotemporal dynamics of probability of failure, conditioned on soil moisture dynamics at each watershed location.
