Kouluvalintapolitiikka perusopetuksessa: suomalaiskaupunkien koulumarkkinat kansainvälisessä valossa

Tutkimuksessa tarkastellaan kouluvalintapolitiikan käyttöä lasten sijoittamisessa oppivelvollisuuskouluihin. Kyse on ylikansallisesta toimintapolitiikasta, jonka mukaan vanhemmat voivat hakea lapselle koulupaikkaa haluamaansa kouluun ja koulut voivat (osittain) valita oppilaansa. Kouluvalintapolitiikkaa on toteutettu Suomen yhtenäiskoulujärjestelmässä 1990-luvun puolivälistä alkaen. Kouluvalintapolitiikan tapahtumapaikka käsitteellistetään koulumarkkinoiksi. This article analyzes experiences of racialization in stories of adult learners with refugee experience who attend a basic education program at a Finnish community college. Throughout a two-year ethnographic study, several students shared stories and thoughts on racialization and racism with the white researcher on site (the author). Tämä tutkimus käsittelee tietotekniikan roolia alakoulun opetuksessa oppilaan näkökulmasta. Tällä hetkellä alakoulua käyvät oppilaat kuuluvat uuteen, teknologiaorientoituneeseen sukupolveen, ja tämän vuoksi tutkimuksen yhtenä oletuksena oli, että oppilailla olisi näkemyksiä aiheesta. In Finland, curriculum design is allegedly carried out through a deliberative process that involves various stakeholders, interest groups, experts and ordinary citizens. Erityisopetuksena tunnettu perusopetuksen keskeinen toimintamalli on ollut voimallisten muutosten kohteena 1990-luvun lopulta aina näihin päiviin saakka. Vuoden 1998 perusopetuslain myötä alkanut asteittaisten uudistusten sarja kulminoitui vuonna 2011 voimaan tulleisiin perusopetuslain muutoksiin ja oppimisen ja koulunkäynnin tuen järjestelmän toimeenpanoon. Tangible technologies provide interactive links between the physical and digital worlds, thereby merging the benefits of physical and virtual manipulatives. To explore the potentials of tangible technologies for learning linear equations, a tangible manipulative (TM) was designed and developed. This study aims to discover the impact of pedagogical leadership on new teachers’ growth. The research is focused on three questions: 1) Are new teachers’ feelings and challenges being understood?; 2) How do new teachers receive support from principals and the school community?; and 3) How does pedagogical leadership impact new teachers’ growth? The research uses the qualitative approach of case studies. Four Finnish schools were selected as participants.
