High Rate of Studies with Level 1 and 2 Evidence among the 100 Most Cited Articles in Lumbar Spinal Stenosis.
2021
Abstract Background To date, no study has used bibliometric analysis to review the most influential articles in lumbar spinal stenosis. The objective of this study was to identify and analyze the characteristics and the level of evidence of the 100 most cited articles on lumbar spinal stenosis Methods The Thomson Reuters Web of Science was accessed to find the 100 most cited articles on lumbar spinal stenosis. For each article, we recorded the number and density of citations, authors, country, journals and years, department, level of evidence, type of study, and if it was part of any multicenter studies. Results Until January 2017, the 100 most cited articles accumulated 11,136 citations (a…
Who wants to live forever: exploring 30 years of research on business longevity
2015
This article presents a systematic review of the existing literature on business longevity by conducting a bibliometric analysis of 142 papers published in the leading business history and management journals during the last three decades. The results show similarities (e.g. in explanatory models) and differences (e.g. in citation patterns, theories, and methods) between the disciplines, thus indicating that the literature is partially segmented into separate domains that prevent business longevity research from representing a truly unified field of study.
Partial/Asymmetrical Information sharing in Supply Chain: A bibliometric analysis
2016
The importance of Information Sharing (IS) between an enterprise and its customers or cooperating companies has been long recognized in Supply Chain (SC) research literature. In this paper we perform an exploratory analysis of the current state-of-art and challenges in the field of partial/asymmetrical IS in SC. To fulfil our objective we carry out a bibliometric analysis by adopting BibExcel and Gephi tools. We identify 115 articles and generate several co-citation maps. Our results show that the concepts of partial and asymmetrical IS in SCs are not well defined in literature.
Uso de la Realidad Virtual en Educación: un análisis bibliométrico
2022
Virtual Reality includes different technologies through which a user can experience a virtual world created in 3 dimensions by computer. Although its adoption has been slow, since the devices required to access virtual reality were expensive, there have been experiences in education since the 1990s. The present study carries out a bibliometric study in which 1074 articles related to the use of virtual reality in education from 1990 to the beginning of 2021 have been analyzed. It has been studied, from a quantitative point of view, the evolution of the annual scientific production, collaboration and production of authors, nationalities and sources of the articles. An analysis of citations, c…
INTER-ORGANIZATIONAL NETWORK AND INNOVATION: A BIBLIOMETRIC REVIEW OF PAST STUDIES AND A RESEARCH AGENDA
2013
This paper aims to provide a systematic overview of studies performed on the relationship between interorganizational networks and innovation in an attempt to isolate the origin of innovation networks. We assess strengths and weaknesses of existing research body, provide a comprehensive understanding of the impact of business actors’ goals on innovation networks and clarify how a partial convergence of interests among the key network actors may influence the development, adoption and diffusion of innovation. On the basis of a bibliometric investigation, we shall manage to visualize a map of extant literature, discuss novel trends, and propose an agenda for the future research.

Bibliometric Analysis of Fitness Equipment: How Scientific Focuses Affect Life-Cycle Approaches and Sustainable Ways of Development
2019
Research Question: Although fitness equipment is recognised worldwide as a tool for physical activities and a sustainable result in optimizing human movements within a wide range of environments, the state of the art and scientific advances have not been analysed from a bibliometric point of view. Research Methods: Using descriptive bibliometric software, this study examined the scientific production, and the most prolific authors, articles, and institutions. Bibliometric maps were used to visualise the content of published articles and to determine the most prolific terms, co-citation, and co-authorship. Results and Findings: A total of 678 original papers were retrieved from 447 journals …
Entrepreneurial universities: A bibliometric analysis within the business and management domains
2021
Abstract This study presents a bibliometric analysis of scientific publications investigating entrepreneurial universities in the business and management fields. The authors collected 511 documents from the Web of Science and analysed them using Bibliometrix, an RStudio package for performance analysis and science mapping. The study aims to provide an overview of the evolution of research about this topic and describe the structures (i.e., conceptual, social, and intellectual) characterising it. It discusses the results to identify the main areas addressed so far and highlight gaps in the literature, offering avenues for possible future research. The results show that publications on entrep…
