A posteriori error estimates for variational problems in the theory of viscous fluids

The papers included in the thesis are focused on functional type a posteriori error estimates for the Stokes problem, the Stokes problem with friction type boundary conditions, the Oseen problem, and the anti-plane Bingham problem. In the summary of the thesis we consider only the Oseen problem. The papers present and justify special forms of these estimates which are suitable for the approximations generated by the Uzawa algorithm. The estimates are of two main types. Estimates of the first type use exact solutions obtained on the steps of the Uzawa algorithm. They show how errors encompassed in Uzawa approximations behave and have mainly theoretical meaning. Perinatal alcohol exposure affects ontogenic neurodevelopment, causing physical and functional long-term abnormalities with limited treatment options. This study investigated long-term consequences of continuous and intermittent maternal alcohol drinking on behavioral readouts of cognitive function and alcohol vulnerability in the offspring. Artykuł poddaje analizie problematykę odpowiedzialności pracodawcy z tytułu stosowania wobec pracownika mobbingu. W rozważaniach odniesiono się zarówno do doktryny oraz orzecznictwa, w szczególności Sądu Najwyższego, wskazując na liczne kontrowersje pojawiające się w tej materii. Šī darba mērķis bija ziemojošo zīlīšu daudzsugu grupās noteikt līdersugu - sugu, uz kuras radīto akustisko informāciju (mobinga saucieniem) visvairāk reaģēs pārējie sociālās grupas dalībnieki. Tika izmantota akustiskā mobinga sauciena ierakstīšanas metode. Pētījumā aprakstīta ziemojošo daudzsugu putnu grupas dalībnieku reakcija uz pelēkās zīlītes Poecile montanus un cekulzīlītes Lophophanes cristatus mobinga saucieniem. Barotavās konstatēja četras sugas, kuras aktīvi reaģēja uz mobinga saucienu ierakstiem – pelēkās zīlītes, cekulzīlītes, meža zīlītes un dzilnīši. The crater lake of Ilamatepec (Santa Ana) volcano, El Salvador: insights into lake gas composition and implications for monitoring

We here present the first chemical characterization of the volcanic gas plume issuing from the Santa Ana crater lake, a hyper-acidic crater lake (pH of − 0.2 to 2.5) in north-western El Salvador. Our results, obtained during regular surveys in 2017 and 2018 using a Multi-GAS instrument, demonstrate a hydrous gas composition (H2O/SO2 ratios from 32 to 205) and SO2 as the main sulfur species (H2S/SO2 = 0.03–0.1). We also find that gas composition evolved during our investigated period, with the CO2/SO2 ratio decreasing by one order of magnitude from March 2017 (37.2 ± 9.7) to November 2018 (< 3). Kibermobings mūsdienu sabiedrībā ir kļuvis par nopietnu problēmu, īpaši pusaudžu vidū. Problēma ir ārkārtīgi aktuāla, jo kibermobinga procesi norit slēpti un nodara ne tikai psiholoģisku un emocionālu kaitējumu, bet arī var būt par iemelsu longitudinālām sekām upurim. Šī pētījuma mērķis bija noskaidrot, vai pastāv statistiski nozīmīgas saistības starp pusaudžu kibermobinga pieredzi, pašcieņu un uztverto vecāku pārraudzību internetā meiteņu grupā, zēnu grupā un visā izlasē, kā arī vai pastāv atšķirības starp meiteņu (n=52) un zēnu (n=51) kibermobinga pieredzes izteiktību, pašcieņu un uztverto vecāku pārraudzību.
