W artykule została przedstawiona droga do zrealizowania, podjętego w 1891 r., przez Stowarzyszenie Domu Zdrowia dla Kapłanów w Zakopanem założenia, budowy domu wspólnoty, z uwzględnieniem bazy zakładu leczniczego. Obiekt przyjmował różną formułę: od domu dla księży w celach zdrowotnych, turystycznych po współczesne funkcje rekolekcyjno-szkoleniowe; od przeznaczenia dla osób wyłącznie duchownych, po szeroką ofertę korzystania z domu przez osoby świeckie. Tekst wprowadza w atmosferę panującą w „Księżówce” w czasach zaboru austriackiego, w II Rzeczypospolitej oraz w okresie okupacji hitlerowskiej.

We show that for any Banach space and any compact topological group G ⊂ L ( X ) G\subset L(X) such that the norm of X X is G G -invariant, the set of norm attaining G G -invariant functionals on X X is dense in the set of all G G -invariant functionals on X X , where a mapping f f is called G G -invariant if for every x ∈ X x\in X and every g ∈ G g\in G , f ( g ( x ) ) = f ( x ) f\big (g(x)\big )=f(x) . In contrast, we show also that the analog of Bollobás result does not hold in general. A version of Bollobás and James’ theorems is also presented.

In the fifties of the fifteenth century, the archbishop of Palermo Simone Beccadelli started the construction of a new archbishop’s palace in an area between the upper stretch of the ancient Cassaro road and the churchyard created along the southern side of the cathedral, whose arrangement had engaged his predecessors since the thirties of the same century. The aim of this work is to examine the sources relating to the legalinstitutional relations between the Papacy and the bishoprics of the island of Sicily, between the 11th and 12th centuries. The investigation aims to verify in what ways, and according to what forms, each pope directed his action to get in touch with the bishops in charge of the different ecclesiastical sees. La donazione di Malta da parte di Carlo V all’Ordine di S. Giovanni nel 1530 stabilì anche le modalità di nomina del vescovo dell’isola, la cui sede episcopale era soggetta fin dai tempi della conquista normanna al regio patronato e dunque al diritto di presentazione da parte del re di Sicilia: proposta da parte del gran maestro al sovrano spagnolo, tramite il viceré di Sicilia, di una terna graduata di candidati, previamente votata dal Consiglio dell’Ordine, appartenenti al grado di cappellano conventuale e di cui almeno uno siciliano.
