Rośliny wykorzystują światło jako źródło energii do fotosyntezy, reagują na jego intensywność, długość fali świetlnej i kierunek światła. Jest ono także swoistym sygnałem środowiskowym. Światło jest odbierane przez fotoreceptory roślin, takie jak: kryptochromy, fototropiny oraz fitochromy, a rośliny generują szeroki zakres specyficznych odpowiedzi fizjologicznych przez te receptory. Do badań wykorzystano dwie hodowle roślinne składające się z dwóch odmian muchołówki amerykańskiej - Dionaea muscipula: Regular form oraz Red green. Oral Blue Nevus: Case Report

Abstract: Aim of this research is the description of a case of palatal blue nevus and the diagnostic and therapeutic strategies to adopt when this oral lesion occurs. Nevi are benign proliferations of nevus cells either in the epithelium or in the subepithelial stroma. Blue nevus of the oral mucosa is a rare lesion. The oral blue nevi are asymptomatic and have no malignant potential. More importantly blue nevus had to be differentiated from malignant melanoma. Because is difficult to distinguish oral melanocytic nevi from melanoma we believe that any oral lesion in question should be excised and sent for histopathologic evaluation.

Ten pozyskiwany z Pelargonium graveolens jest jedną z najbardziej cenionych substancji dla różnych gałęzi przemysłu, takich jak: kosmetyczna, mydlarska, perfumeryjna, aromaterapeutyczna, spożywcza czy medyczna. Abstract The aim of this study was to determine the adsorption capacity of the smectite clays (from the overburden of the lignite deposit in Belchatow) for two anionic dyes, i.e. Reactive Blue 81 (RB-81) and Direct Blue 74 (DB-74). Additionally, the influence of the thermal and chemical (acid and alkali) clay modifications on the amount of bonded dyes was investigated. The adsorption capacity of the clay (natural and modified) was different for studied dyes and depended on the initial concentration and modification type. As yellow lenses filter blue light, it is believed that their use could decrease the intensity of scattered light in the eye (retinal straylight). However, the results of some studies have contradicted this assumption (Van Os et al. 2017). Study question: To investigate whether idiopathic male infertility may be due to the presence of histones in motile spermatozoa using a modified AB staining protocol. Summary answer: No correlation between CMI in live motile spermatozoa, DNA Fragmentation Index (DFI) and other conventional seminal parameters were found in male infertile patients. What is known already: The AB stain discriminates between lysine-rich histones and arginine/cysteine-rich protamines.
