Immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) is a rare autoimmune disease due to both a peripheral destruction of platelets and an inappropriate bone marrow production. Although the primary triggering factors of ITP remain unknown, a loss of immune tolerance—mostly represented by a regulatory T-cell defect—allows T follicular helper cells to stimulate autoreactive splenic B cells that differentiate into antiplatelet antibody-producing plasma cells. Glycoprotein IIb/IIIa is the main target of antiplatelet antibodies leading to platelet phagocytosis by splenic macrophages, through interactions with Fc gamma receptors (FcγRs) and complement receptors. Siden 1974 har norske kommuner hatt adgang til å innføre boplikt for eiendommer som er eller har vært i bruk som helårsbolig. Ordningen har helt siden den ble innført, vært svært omstridt. Vi undersøker hvordan boplikt påvirker boligprisene. Geografisk avgrenser vi oss til kystkommuner på Sørlandet, der mange som har sin faste bopel andre steder i landet, etterspør fritidsbolig. Uten boplikt kan helårsboliger bli kjøpt opp for å bli brukt som fritidsboliger. Den empiriske analysen, basert på data fra fire sørlandskommuner, hvorav den største kommunen, Arendal, opphevet boplikten i 2014, viser at prisene i kystsonen økte da boplikten ble opphevet.

Von Willebrand's disease (vWD) is the most common inherited bleeding disorder. Typical clinical features such as bleeding after surgery or trauma might suggest the disease. We present a series of 24 patients with vWD treated between 1989 and 1992. Diagnosis was confirmed by a reduction in plasma factor VIII antigen concentration, reduction of ristocetin cofactor activity and reduced factor VIII activity. Seventeen of the patients underwent surgery (7 adenoidectomies, 8 tonsillectomies, 2 paranasal sinus operations) and received preoperative stimulation of von Willebrand factor (vWF) using DDAVP. The Reunion Island faced a great epidemic of chikungunya in 2005-2006. Chikungunya is a vector-borne disease transmitted by a mosquito. It is in the town of St Pierre, in the south of the island, that the first cases of chikungunya appeared in 2005.
