The organic matrix of osseous and odontogenic tissues is formed mainly by collagen type I. In addition there is a considerable bulk of noncollagenous proteins (Prince et al. 1987) in bone among which osteonectin represents the greatest amount. This protein, first isolated by Termine et al. (1981) has a molecular weight of 29 kD and possibly is involved in the mineralization process of collagenous fibrils in bone (Romberg et al. 1985). Objective: To evaluate the effects of a low-frequency sound wave therapy programme on functional capacity, blood circulation and bone metabolism of the frail elderly. Design: Single-blind, randomized, controlled trial. Setting: Two senior service centres. Subjects: Forty-nine volunteers (14 males and 35 females) aged 62—93 years with up to 12 diagnosed diseases were allocated in either the intervention group (n = 30) or control group (n = 19). Backbone Extraction of Weighted Modular Complex Networks based on their Component Structure

This work introduces a generic backbone extraction framework exploiting the mesoscopic network structure. Indeed, numerous real-world networks are made of dense groups of nodes called communities, multi-core or local components. To deal with these groups' heterogeneity, we propose to extract the backbones independently from their various components and fuse them. Experimental investigations on real-world networks demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach compared to the classical techniques' agnostic of the mesoscopic structure of real-world networks.

Background: The embryonic root groove is an anatomical abnormality that starts in the cingulum and extends longitudinally down the long axis root towards the apex. This developmental anomaly is more frequently reported in maxillary lateral incisors. Gu YC in 2011 established three types of radicular grooves depending on its severity. Procollagen C-proteinase enhancers (PCPE-1 and -2) specifically activate bone morphogenetic protein-1 (BMP-1) and other members of the tolloid proteinase family during C-terminal processing of fibrillar collagen precursors. PCPEs consist of two CUB domains (CUB1 and CUB2) and one NTR domain separated by one short and one long linker.
