This article is dedicated to the history and meaning of the Catholic Song and Prayer Book for the faithful in Kłodzko county, the first edition of which appeared in 1878 and was edited by Wilhelm Kothe. The collection went through a total of six successive editions. It contained almost 200 various kinds of hymns with musical notations. They included above all old and indigenous church songs, which made the songbook very popular among the faithful in Kłodzko county. Many parishes even made a custom of offering it to children on the occasion of their first Holy Communion. We introduce some of the most common types of high-frequency financial data: tick-by-tick data, trade andquote data, order bookdata, andmarket member data. We describe the types of variables that are usually available in the most popular high-frequency financial databases. We discuss the issues related to the handling of these data, including cleaning protocols, timing issues, and issues related to data size. We then briefly consider the issues related to the stylized facts detected in the empirical analysis of high- frequency data.
