Neoadjuvant treatment for locally advanced unresectable and borderline resectable pancreatic cancer: oncological outcomes at a single academic centre.

INTRODUCTION: Pancreatic cancer (PC), even in the absence of metastatic disease, has a dismal prognosis. One-third of them are borderline resectable (BRPC) or locally advanced unresectable PC (LAUPC) at diagnosis. There are limited prospective data supporting the best approach on these tumours. Neoadjuvant chemotherapy (ChT) is being increasingly used in this setting. METHODS: This is a retrospective series of consecutive patients staged as BRPC or LAUPC after discussion in the multidisciplinary board (MDB) at an academic centre. Objective: Despite growing evidence on risk-factors of borderline personality disorder (BPD) in adults, there is a paucity of research on such specific characteristics of BPD in youth. Furthermore, studies on adolescence BPD in clinical setting are still rare. This study aimed to investigate adverse childhood experiences, parental bonding and family functioning in a sample of female adolescent inpatients with BPD, and to compare them with a clinical control group with mixed psychiatric diagnoses. W artykule poruszone zostały kwestie dot. wyzwań związanych 9 z realizacją koncepcji zrównoważonego rozwoju w polskich miastach, ze 10 szczególnym uwzględnieniem procesu poszerzenia terytorialnego miast 11 wojewódzkich. W wyniku przeprowadzonych badań autor dostrzegł, iż projekty 12 zmiany granic były wiązane z ideą zrównoważonego rozwoju. Autor spróbował 13 zbadać, czy jest to jedynie zabieg przynależny do obszaru marketingu 14 politycznego, czy też realizacja koncepcji osadzonej na gruncie zrównoważonego 15 rozwoju i wynikająca z potrzeb społeczności lokalnych.
