On the presence, distribution and conservation status of Lycopodium lagopus (Lycopodiaceae) in Italy

During our work on the Lycopodiaceae account for the upcoming Flora Critica d’Italia (1, 2), we assessed and accepted the presence in Italy of Lycopodium lagopus (Laest. ex Hartm.) Zinserl. ex Kuzen. = L. clavatum subsp. monostachyon (Grev. & Hook.) Selander (2). Already reported by Fiori (3) as L. clavatum f. monostachyum Desv., its presence in Italy was more recently confirmed by Tribsch & Schönswetter (4) and accepted in some subsequent regional works (e.g. 5, 6), but the taxon is not recognized as distinct in the last national checklist of vascular plants (7). Centaurea dissecta Ten., sensu Fiori (1), comprende diverse entità in qualche caso anche critiche (4). Studi recenti sulle popolazioni dell’Italia meridionale e insulare hanno messo in luce una significativa variabilità genetica (2). Diversi taxa specifici sono stati descritti proprio in questi ultimi anni. Elenco delle specie fungine raccolte in occasione delle XVII giornate micologiche della CEMM (Cefalù)

240 taxa, 25 Ascomycetes and 215 Basidiomycetes were collected and identified during the mycological forays carried out in the framework of XVII CEMM meeting. Amaurodon viridis, Botryohypochnus isabellinus, Sarcodon cyrneus, Sarcoscypha austriaca and Subulicystidium longisporum are new records for Sicily.
A list of macromycetes from Calabria (southern Italy)

On the basis of literature data and personal observation, a list of 338 species (319 Basidiomycetes, 18 Ascomycetes and 1 Zygomycetes) belonging to 156 genera included in 70 families is here reported for Calabria. Comparing the literature data with our records we confirmed the presence of 281 species while 57 are new for Calabria.
Distribution of the genus Gagea (Liliaceae) in Sicily

An updated geographical distribution of the genus Gagea in Sicily with a grid map for each taxon is given. This study is based on literature, herbarium and field investigations. The examined species are G. bohemica (Zauschn.) Schult. & Schult. f., G. chrysantha Schult. & Schult. f. sensu stricto, G. dubia A. Terracc., G. foliosa (C. Presl) Schult. & Schult. f., G. fragifera (Vill.) E. Bayer & G. L.pez Gonz.lez, G. granatelli (Parl.) Parl., G. lacaitae A. Terracc., G. lojaconoi Peruzzi, G. sicula Lojac., G. trinervia (Viv.)
