Search for the Associated Production of abQuark and a Neutral Supersymmetric Higgs Boson that Decays intoτPairs

We report results from a search for production of a neutral Higgs boson in association with a $b$ quark. We search for Higgs decays to $\tau$ pairs with one $\tau$ subsequently decaying to a muon and the other to hadrons. The data correspond to 2.7fb$^{-1}$ of $\ppbar$ collisions recorded by the D0 detector at $\sqrt{s} = 1.96$TeV. The data are found to be consistent with background predictions. The result allows us to exclude a significant region of parameter space of the minimal supersymmetric model.
Search for the Production of Scalar Bottom Quarks inpp¯Collisions ats=1.96 TeV

We report on a search for direct scalar bottom quark (sbottom) pair production in pp collisions at {radical}(s)=1.96 TeV, in events with large missing transverse energy and two jets of hadrons in the final state, where at least one of the jets is required to be identified as originating from a b quark. The study uses a collider detector at Fermilab Run II data sample corresponding to 2.65 fb{sup -1} of integrated luminosity. The data are in agreement with the standard model. Search for Neutral Higgs Bosons in Multi-b-Jet Events inpp¯Collisions ats=1.96 TeV

Data recorded by the D0 experiment at the Fermilab Tevatron Collider are analyzed to search for neutral Higgs bosons produced in association with b quarks. This production mode can be enhanced in the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM). The search is performed in the three b quark channel using multijet triggered events corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1 fb(-1). No statistically significant excess of events with respect to the predicted background is observed and limits are set in the MSSM parameter space.
Search for Gluino-Mediated Bottom Squark Production inpp¯Collisions ats=1.96 TeV

We report on a search for the supersymmetric partner of the bottom quark produced from gluino decays in data from 2.5 fb{sup -1} of integrated luminosity collected by the Collider Detector at Fermilab at {radical}s = 1.96 TeV. Candidate events are selected requiring two or more jets and large missing transverse energy. At least two of the jets are required to be tagged as originating from a b quark to enhance the sensitivity. The results are in good agreement with the prediction of the standard model processes, giving no evidence for gluino decay to sbottom quarks. Heavy quark symmetry at large recoil: the case of baryons

We analyze the large recoil behaviour of heavy baryon transition form factors in semileptonic decays. We use a generalized Brodsky-Lepage hard scattering formalism where diquarks are considered as quasi-elementary constituents of baryons. In the limit of infinitely heavy quark masses the large recoil form factors exhibit a new model-independent heavy quark symmetry which is reminiscent but not identical to the Isgur-Wise symmetry at low recoil.
Measurement of the Forward-Backward Asymmetry in the Production ofB±Mesons inpp¯Collisions ats=1.96 TeV

We present a measurement of the forward-backward asymmetry in the production of B-+/- mesons, A(FB)(B-+/-) using B-+/- -> J/ Psi K-+/- decays in 10.4 fb(-1) of p (p) over bar collisions at root s = 1.96 TeV collected by the D0 experiment during Run II of the Tevatron collider. A nonzero asymmetry would indicate a preference for a particular flavor, i.e., b quark or (b) over bar antiquark, to be produced in the direction of the proton beam. We extract A(FB) (B-+/-) from a maximum likelihood fit to the difference between the numbers of forward-and backward-produced B-+/- mesons. We measure an asymmetry consistent with zero: A(FB) (B-+/-) = [-0.24 +/- 0.41 (stat) +/- 0.19 (syst)] %.

Experimental Discrimination between Charge2e/3Top Quark and Charge4e/3Exotic Quark Production Scenarios

We present the first experimental discrimination between the 2e/3 and 4e/3 top quark electric charge scenarios, using top quark pairs (ttbar) produced in ppbar collisions at sqrt{s}=1.96 TeV by the Fermilab Tevatron collider. We use 370 pb-1 of data collected by the D0 experiment and select events with at least one high transverse momentum electron or muon, high transverse energy imbalance, and four or more jets. We discriminate between b- and bbar-quark jets by using the charge and momenta of tracks within the jet cones. The data is consistent with the expected electric charge, |q|=2e/3. We exclude, at the 92% C.L., that the sample is solely due to the production of exotic quark pairs QQba…
Natural quasi-alignment with two Higgs doublets and RGE stability

In the context of two Higgs doublet models, we study the conditions required in order to have stable quasi-alignment in flavour space. We show that stability under the RGE imposes strong constraints on the flavour structure of the Yukawa couplings associated to each one of the Higgs doublets. In particular, we find a novel solution, where all Yukawa couplings are proportional to the so-called democratic matrix. This solution is rather unique, since it is the only stable solution which is a good starting point for reproducing the observed pattern of quark masses and mixing. Semileptonic decays of theBcmeson

We study the semileptonic transitions ${B}_{c}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\ensuremath{\eta}}_{c},$ $J/\ensuremath{\psi},$ D, ${D}^{*},$ B, ${B}^{*},$ ${B}_{s},$ ${B}_{s}^{*}$ in the framework of a relativistic constituent quark model. We use experimental data on leptonic $J/\ensuremath{\psi}$ decay, lattice and QCD sum rule results on leptonic ${B}_{c}$ decay, and experimental data on radiative ${\ensuremath{\eta}}_{c}$ transitions to adjust the quark model parameters. We compute all form factors of the above semileptonic ${B}_{c}$ transitions and give predictions for various semileptonic ${B}_{c}$ decay modes including their $\ensuremath{\tau}$ modes when they are kinematically accessible.
