Variability of the in vitro organogenic response from leaf explants of a seed population of Cueumis melo L. ev. Cantaloupe Charentais was analyzed to detect genotypic variability among individual seeds for shoot regeneration. Variation in shoot regeneration frequency among plants from different seeds was compared to that found among clonal replicas of each original plant. Clonal propagation was performed using in vitro culture of apical and axillary buds of axenic plants to avoid somaclonal variation. Bakalaura darba mērķis ir izanalizēt mūsdienu valsts parāda datus un ekonomiskās izaugsmes datus, kā arī izstrādāt ekonometriskās regresijas modeli, kas parāda kā valsts parāds un citi faktori ietekmē ekonomisko izaugsmi un izvirzīt priekšlikumus Latvijas valsts ekonomiskās izaugsmes palielināšanai. Balstoties uz ekonometrisko modeli tika secināts, ka Latvijas valdības parāda pieaugums negatīvi ietekmē jeb samazina ekonomisko izaugsmi. How Personal Finance Management Systems Emancipate and Oppress Young People

In order to achieve financial well-being, individuals need to make sensible financial decisions. Personal finance management (PFM) systems help individuals with saving, budgeting, consumption, borrowing, and lending tasks. As much as these systems help individuals, they may also have unintended consequences. This study increases the knowledge of how PFM systems emancipate and oppress young people. We used an interpretive research approach and collected qualitative data. Our major finding is that PFM systems emancipate young people by promoting agency (the freedom to act) due to the efficient implementation of PFM tasks, for example. Representing Tibetan Buddhism in books on spirituality : A discourse-historical approach

This article looks into how Tibetan Buddhism is framed in terms of East-West dichotomy in six popular books on Buddhism and spirituality. Discourse Historical Approach is employed to uncover the rhetorical representation of Tibetan Buddhism to the readers. A critical post-colonial perspective offers an insight into various power dynamics, arising from these representations, structured according to Yoshikawa's model of intercultural communication between East and West. The various power outcomes of rhetorical styles range from Ethnocentric to Dialogical, with their ethical consequences and problematics discussed.
External sustainability in Spanish economy: bubbles and crises, 1970–2020

We address the issue of the sustainability Spain’s exter-nal debt, using data for the period 1970–2020. To detect episodes of potentially explosive behavior of the Spanish net foreign assets over GDP ratio and the current account balance over GDP ratio, as well as episodes of external adjustments over this long period, we employ a recursive unit root test approach. Our empirical analysis leads us to conclude that there is some evidence of bubbles in the ratio between Spanish net foreign assets and the GDP.
