Cultural Institutes – Enablers of Sustainable Development

Abstract The primary goal of this study is to examine the role of culture - as one of the most enduring, vital and long-lived components of sustainable development, with multifarious potential continuously explored and capitalized by individuals, communities or institutions. All definitions of the phrase sustainable development include culture as a sine-qua-non element that is also inextricably connected and interdependent with the other three pillars: economic, social and environmental. In this context of cultural centres worldwide, Confucius Institutes represent a successful and efficient managerial model by capitalizing on the most important resource of an organization: human capital.

Studies Concerning the Hygiene Conditions from the Sadu Farm, Romania

Abstract This paper aims to establish the conditions of hygiene of the breeding farm from Sadu, Romania, by monitoring the microbiological indicators such as hospital attendant TNG, total number of yeasts and molds, and total number of coliforms in shelters and on milking equipment. By monitoring air microbial flora, containers used for milking and hygiene of livestock (sheep and cow) values are found by the standards in force, with the recommendation to improve the quality of these parameters in order to reduce the values at lower limits.

In this paper, we attempt to explain how the ownership mechanism of an interorganisational information system (IOS) may impact strategic information exchange (electronic coordination) induced by specific investments in the IOS. Recent research and practice show that heavy investments in IOSs demonstrate mixed results with respect to their impact on the electronic coordination. Consequently, the search of additional factors is needed to help and explain under what circumstances the IOS investments for strategic purposes become beneficial for the companies in a buyersupplier dyad.
