Simple Summary High-grade serous ovarian carcinoma (HGSC) could be analyzed with a molecular stratification defined by different genomic instability signatures associated with specific mutational process and prognostic biomarkers. Immune infiltrate is known to be a robust biomarker in HGSC. We aimed to investigate immune parameters according to genomic instability signatures. We observed that homologous recombination deficiency positive, copy cumber variant signature 7 and TCR (T cells receptor) clonality are good prognostic biomarkers in HGSC. Hearing loss and individual differences in normal hearing both have a substantial genetic basis. Although many new genes contributing to deafness have been identified, very little is known about genes/variants modulating the normal range of hearing ability. To fill this gap, we performed a two-stage meta-analysis on hearing thresholds (tested at 0.25, 0.5, 1, 2, 4, 8 kHz) and on pure-tone averages (low-, medium-and high-frequency thresholds grouped) in several isolated populations from Italy and Central Asia (total N = 2636). International audience; This article draws on data collected by local rental observatories in 12 French urban units in 2015 to analyze the spatial dimension of hedonic rental prices in the private rental market through (i) the spatial heterogeneity between urban units and (ii) the wide variety of contextual and locational characteristics (socio-economic, environmental (dis)amenity, and accessibility) and flexible specifications to capture their potential non-linear influence on rent. Based on a joint test of equality of coefficients across all urban units, we find that hedonic prices differ for 75% of the characteristics, thereby justifying a detailed analysis of heterogeneity. Exploratory spatial data analysis of the distribution of regional per capita GDP in Europe, 1980-1995

The aim of this paper is to study the dynamics of European regional per capita product over time and space. This purpose is achieved by using the recently developed methods of Exploratory Spatial Data Analysis. Using a sample of European regions over the 1980-1995 period, we find strong evidence of global and local spatial autocorrelation in per capita GDP throughout the period. The detection of clusters of high and low per capita products during the period is an indication of the persistence of spatial disparities between European regions. Abstract The two forms of human plasma C2 that were described in the preceding report (1) were investigated for their functional and biochemical differences. Incubation with the neuraminidase (NAN'dase) of Clostridium perfringens at 37°C resulted in a four- to fivefold increase in the hemolytic activity of both forms. The increase in activity was different than the increase caused by treatment with iodine. The mechanism of increased activity of NAN'dase-treated C2 was the generation of increased molecules of activated C3 (C3b), resulting in more molecules of C5 binding to (C4b, 2a, 3b)n. Abstract Infection remains the major complication of immunosuppressive therapy in organ transplantation. Therefore, reconstitution of the innate immunity against infections, without activation of the adaptive immune responses, to prevent graft rejection is a clinically desirable status in transplant recipients. We found that GM-CSF restored TNF mRNA and protein expression without inducing IL-2 production and T cell proliferation in glucocorticoid-immunosuppressed blood from either healthy donors or liver transplant patients. When does Regression discontinuity design work? Evidence from random election outcomes

We use elections data in which a large number of ties in vote counts between candidates are resolved via a lottery to study the personal incumbency advantage. We benchmark non‐experimental regression discontinuity design (RDD) estimates against the estimate produced by this experiment that takes place exactly at the cutoff. The experimental estimate suggests that there is no personal incumbency advantage. In contrast, conventional local polynomial RDD estimates suggest a moderate and statistically significant effect.
