Masteroppgave i spesialsykepleie – Universitetet i Agder 2016 Background: 50-90 % of all patients whom is hospitalized in an ICU will suffer from intensive care delirium. The decision-making-tool CAM-ICU is used and activated in many of the intensive-care units in Norwegian hospitals. Some research show that the tool isn’t used correctly – therefor I wanted to find out what experience my fellow ICU-nurses had with the tool. Aim and objective: The aim of this study is to gain a broad understanding into the ICU-nurses experience, using CAM-ICU.
