Despite the importance of patients’ psychological well-being in their own recovery from illness, few studies examine these issues while the patient is still in ICU. This study analyzes the psychological distress of 71 ICU patients and the potential risk/protective factors for such distress. Patients showed moderate anxiety and depression although in a significant percentage clinical symptomatology was observed. More than halve of the patients revealed an intermediate general stress level and the most important stressor was having pain. Šī pētījuma ietvaros tika izvirzīti trīs jautājumi: 1. Vai Garastāvokļa un izjūtu aptaujas (GIA) vecāku un bērnu latviešu versijas ticamības rādītāji atbildīs citu pētījumu rezultātiem? 2. Kāda ir GIA latviešu valodā adaptētās vecāku un bērnu versijas konverģentā validitāte ar Bērnu depresijas aptauju (CDI)? 3. Kāda ir aptaujas diskriminantā vērtība (cut-off point)? Kontrolgrupas (n=26) un klīniskās grupas (n=26) dalībnieki vecumā 12–18 gadiem, no kuriem 44 bija sievietes, un viņu vecāki aizpildīja 33 un 34 pantu GIA pusaudžu un vecāku versiju attiecīgi. Amino‐(3,4‐dihydroxyphenyl)methyl phosphonic acid, the phosphonic analog of 3,4‐dihydroxyphenylglycine, had been previously reported as a potent inhibitor of tyrosinase. The mechanism of the apparent enzyme inhibition by this compound has now been established. Amino‐(3,4‐dihydroxyphenyl)methyl phosphonic acid turned out to be a substrate and was oxidized to o‐quinone, which evolved to a final product identified as 3,4‐dihydroxybenzaldehyde, the same as for 3,4‐dihydroxyphenylglycine. This paper deals with the OLTRE project (ISF - DG Migration and Home Affairs, EU) funded for preventing the radicalization of the second-generation of migrants in Italy. This essay aims to study the production of an online communication campaign co-designed by second-generation youths.
