The changes in age of peak swim speed for elite male and female Swiss freestyle swimmers between 1994 and 2012

This study determined the age and its changes across years of peak swimming performance from 50 to 1,500 m freestyle. Data of 70,059 Swiss freestyle swimmers (33,725 women and 36,334 men) aged 10-40 years and competing from 50 to 1,500 m were analysed. The association between age and swimming speed of the annual ten fastest swimmers was investigated using single and multi-level hierarchical regression analyses. For women, age of peak swimming speed increased in 50 m from 18.9 (s = 2.3) to 20.4 (s = 4.2) years but decreased in 1,500 m from 25.0 (s = 13.1) (1996) to 18.1 (s = 3.7) years. Addressing the global extent of the current biodiversity crisis requires engaging with the existence of multiple equally legitimate values, but also with diverse ethical perspectives underpinning conceptions of right and wrong actions. However, western monist positions have mostly explicitly or implicitly directed conservation strategies by defining the space of legitimate arguments, overlooking solutions that do not fit neatly the chosen approaches. Towards sustainable servicescape : tourists’ perspectives of accommodation service attributes

The study uses content analysis to identify the sustainable attributes in 678 accommodation reviews from Finnish and Russian tourists published on the Tripadvisor website and examines the sustainability perceptions of these tourist groups. The servicescape framework was applied to the structuring of the attributes indicating sustain-ability in accommodation services. The sustainable attributes highlighted in the reviews were more frequently in the physical rather than in the social servicescape factor. Seasonal human coronaviruses (HCoVs) cause respiratory infections, especially in children. Currently, the knowledge on early childhood seasonal coronavirus infections and the duration of antibody levels following the first infections is limited. Here we analyzed serological follow-up samples to estimate the rate of primary infection and reinfection(s) caused by seasonal coronaviruses in early childhood. Serum specimens were collected from 140 children at ages of 13, 24, and 36 months (1, 2, and 3 years), and IgG antibody levels against recombinant HCoV nucleoproteins (N) were measured by enzyme immunoassay (EIA). Urheilumenestyksen tarkastelussa painopiste on ollut maittain toteutetussa joukkueiden, seurojen ja yksilöurheilijoiden menestyksen vertailussa. Sen sijaan paikkakuntien urheilumenestystä on tutkimuksissa vertailtu vähemmän. Tutkimuksessa jäljitettiin millaista menestystä varkautelaiset urheilijat saavuttivat 1960-luvulla ja mitkä tekijät vaikuttivat paikalliseen urheilumenestykseen? AbstractTwenty-two n-butyltin(IV) and t-butyltin(IV) complexes of ligands containing an –OH (–C@O) group or –OH and –COOHgroups and an aromatic {N} donor atom were prepared by metathetical reactions. On the basis of the FT-IR and Mo¨ssbauer spec-troscopic data, molecular structures were assigned to these compounds. The binding sites of the ligands were identified by means ofFT-IR spectroscopic measurements, and it was found that in most cases the organotin(IV) moiety reacts with the phenolic form ofthese ligands.
