Predicting valuable forest habitats using an indicator species for biodiversity

Intensive management of boreal forests impairs forest biodiversity and species of old-growth forest. Effective measures to support biodiversity require detection of locations valuable for conservation. We applied species distribution models (SDMs) to a species of mature forest, the northern goshawk (Accipiter gentilis, goshawk), that is often associated with hotspots of forest biodiversity. We located optimal sites for the goshawk on a landscape scale, assessed their state under intensified logging operations and identified characteristics of goshawks' nesting sites in boreal forests. Facing the loss of biodiversity caused by landscape fragmentation, implementation of ecological networks to connect habitats is an important biodiversity conservation issue. It is necessary to develop easily reproducible methods to identify and prioritize actions to maintain or restore ecological corridors. Las habilidades de manejo de grupo que presenten los profesionales que imparten los programas de educación afectivo-sexual para personas con discapacidad intelectual son esenciales a fin de dirigir las sesiones hacia los objetivos establecidos. Por ello, el objetivo del presente trabajo es explorar las incidencias producidas durante la aplicación del Programa SALUDIVERSEX, en función del tipo de contenido de la sesión, analizando las habilidades de manejo del grupo de los 29 profesionales (90% mujeres y 10% hombres) que aplicaron este programa. Mappings of finite distortion : boundary extensions in uniform domains

In this paper, we consider mappings on uniform domains with exponentially integrable distortion whose Jacobian determinants are integrable. We show that such mappings can be extended to the boundary and moreover these extensions are exponentially integrable with quantitative bounds. This extends previous results of Chang and Marshall on analytic functions, Poggi-Corradini and Rajala and Akkinen and Rajala on mappings of bounded and finite distortion.

Celem artykułu jest analiza stosunków między demokracją a kapitalizmem w ujęciu ekonomii politycznej. Przyjęto w nim założenie, że demokracja stanowi formę organizacji życia politycznego, zaś kapitalizm życia ekonomicznego. W pierwszej części przedstawiono krytykę liberalizmu hegemona współczesnej filozofii politycznej z punktu widzenia myśli Karola Marksa. W drugiej opisano bankructwo optymistycznych złudzeń o postępie moralnym. Artykuł kończy się wspomnieniem kategorii „godnego społeczeństwa”, stworzonej przez Johna Kennetha Galbraitha.
Pathologies et traumatismes professionnels au Néolithique ; des mineurs de silex à Chouilly « la Grifaine » (Marne) ?

La fouille réalisée en 2016 par le service archéologique de Reims Métropole sur le site de Chouilly « La Grifaine » a été l’occasion de compléter nos connaissances sur les hypogées de la Marne. L’examen détaillé de l’état sanitaire des sujets issus de l’hypogée F10 a mis en exergue la récurrence de différents traumatismes et de lésions dégénératives qui plaident en faveur d’une activité spécifique qui pourrait être en lien avec l’extraction du silex. Les indices ostéologiques concernent essentiellement les individus inhumés dans les niveaux les plus récents et témoignent, soit d’une modification du recrutement des individus inhumés, soit d’une évolution des activités au cours du temps.
