Il principio di autodeterminazione dell'individuo trova il suo fondamento nel dettato costituzionale e,in riferimento al diritto alla salute,si traduce nella possibilità di rifiutare le cure e di scegliere di "lasciarsi morire". Al di là di un difficile e forse non opportuno intervento del legislatore, la Corte di Cassazione ne ha disegnato i caratteri nel noto caso Englaro, avvicinandosi alla soluzione prospettata dal giudice tedesco in un caso simile, giudice che, diversamente, ha potuto fondare la sua decisione oltre che sul principio costituzionale della tutela della dignità umana, sulla legislazione vigente.

Tutkielman tavoitteena on avata meikkaamisen kokemuksellisuutta ja toimijuutta sekä meikkaamisen motiiveja ja merkityksiä meikkaajien haastattelupuheen kautta. Haastatteluja käsittelen diskurssianalyysin keinoin. Meikkaamisen kannalta relevantteja aihepiirejä ovat esimerkiksi kosmetiikan historia, kauneusihanteet ja -normit, julkisen olemisen normit, pukeutuminen ja tyyli sekä luonnollisuusihanne. Tässä tutkimuksessa tarkastellaan työpaikan menettämisen ja muiden taloudellisten ja ei-taloudellisten kannustimien vaikutuksia alueelliseen muuttoliikkeeseen. Käytämme yhdistettyä työnantaja-työntekijäaineistoa sekä tietoja alueellisista asuntomarkkinoista. Työpaikan menettäneillä tarkoitamme heitä, jotka menettävät työpaikkansa toimipaikan sulkemisen tai joukkoirtisanomisen takia. Työpaikan menetys lisää henkilön muuttoalttiutta noin 80 prosentilla.
