Environmental noise monitoring for smart cities need to be as much efficient as possible in order to mitigate its significant impact in the health of their inhabitants. 5G Internet of Things (IoT) systems offer a big opportunity to offload the computation from the sensor nodes, since it provides a series of new concepts for dynamic computing that the previous technologies did not offer. Binaural psychoacoustic parameters are helpful to describe generic acoustic environments, as it is stated within the ISO 12913 framework. Poecilogony refers to the presence of more than one mode of development within a single species. True poecilogony is rare, however, and in some cases, apparent poecilogony is actually the result of variation in development mode among recently diverged cryptic species. RNA viruses have high mutation rates and so their populations exist as dynamic and complex mutant distributions. It has been consistently observed that when challenged with a new environment, viral populations adapt following hyperbolic-like kinetics: adaptation is initially very rapid, but then slows down as fitness reaches an asymptotic value. These adaptive dynamics have been explained in terms of populations moving towards the top of peaks on rugged fitness landscapes.
