Background. Bonding agents could be used as fissure sealants. This study compares the retention three fissure sealants (Delton®, Delton Plus® and Concise®) and a filled dentin bonding system (Optibond Solo®). Methods. Fifty-six children aged 7-8 years received fissure sealants either in the four permanent first molars, in the four deciduous second molars, or in all eight of these teeth. Every child received a different sealing material in each quadrant on a random basis. Background Successful removal of salivary stones depends on exact pretreatment information of the location, the size and shape of the stones. This study aimed to compare the volume of submandibular sialoliths determined by preoperative Cone-Beam Computer Tomography (CBCT) scans with the volume of the removed stones on micro-Computer Tomography (micro-CT) scans. A case report of coexistence of a sialolith and an adenoid cystic carcinoma in the submandibular gland

Ôhe occurrence of sialoliths in the submandibular gland is 80% due to the specific anatomy of both the gland and its duct. The diagnosis is rather easy because of the obvious clinical signs of the entity. Imaging studies are always necessary in order to treat the patient as effectively as possible. The stones do not tend to occur within the gland as frequently as in the respective duct. The coexistence of sialoliths and malignant tumors is extremely rare. A 70-year-old woman with intraparenchymal stone was operated in our ENT department. El trabajo de esta tesis se enmarca dentro del proyecto EventIndex del experimento ATLAS, un gran detector de partı́culas del LHC (Gran Colisionador de Hadrones) en el CERN. El objetivo del proyecto es catalogar todas las colisiones de partı́culas, o eventos, registrados en el detector ATLAS y también simulados a lo largo de sus años de funcionamiento. Con este catálogo se pueden caracterizar los datos a nivel de evento para su búsqueda y localización por parte de los usuarios finales. También se pueden realizar comprobaciones en la cadena de registro y reprocesado de los datos, para comprobar su corrección y optimizar futuros procesos. El objetivo de este primer capítulo es presentar nueva evidencia sobre la eficiencia del mercado español de futuros sobre acciones durante el período 2001-2010. Para ello, nos servimos del análisis de correlación realizado sobre carteras índices igualmente ponderadas y ponderadas por volumen, así también sobre contratos de futuros individuales.
