Organizational information and communication technologies and their influence on communication visibility and perceived proximity

This study investigates the relationships between the use of various organizational ICTs, communication visibility, and perceived proximity to distant colleagues. In addition, this study examines the interplay between visibility and proximity, to determine whether visibility improves proximity, or vice versa. These relationships are tested in a global company using two waves of panel survey data. ESM use increases communication visibility and perceived proximity, while controlling for prior levels of visibility, proximity, and the use of other organizational ICTs. El objetivo de este trabajo es confirmar la validez pentafactorial del cuestionario AF5 con adultos españoles y portugueses. A partir de las respuestas de un total de 2.058 adultos (1.508 españoles, 73,3%, y 550 portugueses, 26,7%) se analiza la fiabilidad del instrumento, se compara la validez del modelo de cinco factores oblicuos que proponen los autores contra los modelos alternativos unifactorial y ortogonal, y se estudia la invarianza de una traducción portuguesa. Wireless battery chargers for portable applications: Design and test of a high-efficiency power receiver

In this study, the authors present a 5 W wireless battery charger for handheld devices. Efficiency-related issues are addressed. A power receiver architecture which improves power conversion efficiency is proposed. Design hints are provided for further applications. Comparison with a conventional architecture is provided as well. Laboratory prototypes of both the proposed and the conventional architectures have been realised. Both prototypes are tested by using the same power transmitter to perform a valuable comparison. As shown by the experimental results, in the receiver side power conversion efficiency is increased up to 99% thanks to the proposed solution.
Control subsystem design for wireless power transfer

Recently, the wireless power transfer has been increasingly employed. Particularly for the electric vehicles, the wireless solution is attractive for contactless battery charging, based on the Inductive Power Transfer (IPT). In this paper, a 150W prototype for IPT-based battery charging is presented and design criteria are reported. In addition to the power stage analysis, a proper control strategy is proposed. Simulation and experimental results are shown. The proposed control method aims at regulating the load current against variations in the magnetic coupling, so that the required amount of power can be supplied despite of unexpected decreases in the coupling efficiency.
Les sites fortifiés protohistoriques du Haut-Beaujolais : bilan de trois années de recherches entre Loire et Saône

Dans le cadre du PCR dirigé par F. Delrieu, un programme de prospection des sites fortifiés de hauteur a été engagé entre 2013 et 2015 dans le Haut-Beaujolais, territoire auparavant méconnu dans ce domaine. Ces recherches ont permis la découverte de 19 sites inédits, portant à 22 le corpus local. Sur l’espace investis, de près de 1000 km², 344 sommets ont été vérifiés, selon une approche voulue systématique. Le corpus est essentiellement constitué d’enceintes complètes ou partielles, dont la superficie varie de quelques milliers de m² à près de 3 ha pour le site le plus étendu. Numerical modelling can be a useful tool to assess a receiving water body's quality state.
