Presentamos en este trabajo una tinaja de grandes dimensiones inédita con decoración figurada procedente de la ciudad ibérica del Tossal de Sant Miquel de Llíria (Valencia). Con un elevado índice de fragmentación. el vaso muestra interesantes figuraciones como una escena femenina de hilado y tejido, joven a caballo, así como damas estantes. Su iconografía nos aproxima al análisis de los grupos de edad y género en la cultura ibérica: ternas como la naturaleza o los rituales de tránsito a la edad adulta. La dimensión simbólica de las escenas plasmadas en este vaso de encargo se integra en el programa de imágenes de la antigua Edeta, en un marco urbano y aristocrático, de tradición mediterráne…

The origins of Valencian ceramic tableware, one of the most coveted products of the Late Middle Ages, have traditionally been explained from the supply perspective. The attention given to technological and stylistic–i.e. productive–aspects has tended to eclipse the issues that go beyond the objects themselves and affect the viewpoint of the consumer: to what extent was the demand for obra de terra by Valencian society key to the start of its production? En este trabajo hemos abordado la ocupación de la zona costera valenciana en época ibérica, concretamente en el entorno de Arse-Saguntum, València y Sucro/Portus Sucronem durante los siglos VI-I a.C. Así pues, partiendo del estudio de yacimientos y materiales de estas tres áreas y de su participación en el tráfico comercial marítimo y terrestre, se ha podido observar una evolución y un cambio así como una serie de diferencias con el interior todo ello en relación con un modelo distinto influenciado por el valor del litoral. El Plano (Espadilla). Un yacimiento romano del Alto Mijares (Castellón)

In this paper we study some archaeological materials found in the Roman site of El Plano (Castellón). Although today is almost entirely destroyed by agricultural work, some of the pieces studied said they were equipped with thermal baths, so it should be a settlement of some importance. Moreover ceramics collected allows occupation dating from the I to IV century AD. This is the first Roman site that has been studied in the district of Alto Mijares.
