Análisis del modo como La memoria obstinada de Patricio Guzmán, trataba de desbloquear la memoria social de la violencia construyendo un documental que hiciera dialogar el discurso de los supervivientes con elementos del archivo y con imágenes del pasado. Se expone cómo, a través de sutiles operaciones discursivas, el documental trata de traer al presente una experiencia de la represión que buena parte de la sociedad trataba de situar en el pasado.

Forty years after the military coup that bloodied Chile during the years of military dictatorship, the country is still splitted with a society which is still in a traumatic situation. In this paper we have worked with audio-visual sources, which we call Video Format Documents (VFD), produced from the sixties onwards. This article is based on sources that allow us a deeper understanding of the society in which they were produced; a society −as it is said by a character of one of the most successful films in Chile−, divided into pears and apples.

This paper analyzes Euripides’s Iphigenia in Aulis from a perspective that highlights the relationship between three different levels - the sacred, the political and the private -intersected as they are by the opposition male/female. In the course of the tragedy we assist at the gradual domination of the two spheres of “public” and “political”, while the sphere of “sacred” provides only a ritual frame. On the other hand, from the overall structure of the tragedy it also results that the sphere of “private” relationships and loves is a loser. The sixth principle of the Charte de la Ligue Internationale de l’Education Nouvelle of 1921 emphasizes the concept of coeducation. The definition of this concept provides interesting insights to launch a proactive debate on the need to increase the male presence in primary school teaching staff. First of all, some results of empir- ical research that support the request to increase the number of male teachers in the primary school are displayed. Secondly, the most significant measures adopted by some States to promote the figure of the male primary school teacher are described. Finally, a few proposals are made on what could be done in Italy.

Il tema del maschile e del femminile e il senso della loro reciprocità è percepito come problematico in una cultura come quella attuale, segnata da una propensione all’indifferenziazione sessuale. La questione, per l’elaborazione di un’antropologia pedagogica della sponsalità e della paternità/maternità, è nodale. Il saggio propone una riflessione di stile fenomenologico, volta a ritrovare la radice di senso delle categorie di maschilità e di femminilità, ritrovandole nell’aspetto per cui esso si mostrano costitutive dell’esistenza personale. Tale senso originario resta sempre presente in ogni ricerca e in ogni momento della costruzione della propria singolare identità di genere.

Freshwater mussels of the genus Diplodon (Unionida) are common inhabitants of lakes and rivers in South America, and have slow growth and long life spans. We established the annual periodicity of incremental shell growth in Diplodon chilensis patagonicus (d'Orbigny, 1835) and calculated growth rates at different ages, using internal ring counting supported by dyeing methods and δ 18 O isotope analyses, in two Patagonian populations (Lago Steffen and its effluent Rio Manso Inferior, Argentina). Longevities of ca. 90 years (Lago Steffen) significantly extend the life spans reported in the past.
