Fragile-X carrier females: evidence for a distinct psychopathological phenotype?
1996
The present study examined 35 mothers (29 premutation carriers) of children with fragile-X syndrome in measures of intelligence and psychiatric disorders by comparing them with two control groups: a) 30 mothers of children in the general population and b) 17 mothers of non-fra-X retarded children with autism. Premutation carriers had a higher frequency of affective disorders than mothers from the general population. Preliminary data indicate that normally intelligent premutation carriers of the fra-X genetic abnormality have a similar frequency of affective disorders (DSM-III-R criteria [APA, 1987]) than mothers of autistic children. Neither carriers of the premutation nor carriers of the f…
Early history of European domestic cattle as revealed by ancient DNA
2006
We present an extensive ancient DNA analysis of mainly Neolithic cattle bones sampled from archaeological sites along the route of Neolithic expansion, from Turkey to North-Central Europe and Britain. We place this first reasonable population sample of Neolithic cattle mitochondrial DNA sequence diversity in context to illustrate the continuity of haplotype variation patterns from the first European domestic cattle to the present. Interestingly, the dominant Central European pattern, a starburst phylogeny around the modal sequence, T3, has a Neolithic origin, and the reduced diversity within this cluster in the ancient samples accords with their shorter history of post-domestic accumulation…
CP symmetry and thermal effects on Dirac bi-spinor spin–parity local correlations
2018
Intrinsic quantum correlations supported by the $SU(2)\otimes SU(2)$ structure of the Dirac equation used to describe particle/antiparticle states, optical ion traps and bilayer graphene are investigated and connected to the description of local properties of Dirac bi-spinors. For quantum states driven by Dirac-like Hamiltonians, quantum entanglement and geometric discord between spin and parity degrees of freedom - sometimes mapped into equivalent low energy internal degrees of freedom - are obtained. Such \textit{spin-parity} quantum correlations and the corresponding nonlocal intrinsic structures of bi-spinor fermionic states can be classified in order to relate quantum observables to th…
Kampania wielkopolska i kujawska Chryzostoma Jana Niemiry Gniazdowskiego
2020
Age-dependent epileptic encephalopathy associated with an unusual co-occurrence of ZEB2 and SCN1A variants.
2020
Mowat-Wilson syndrome is a genetic disorder associated with a variable phenotype including peculiar facial features associated with intellectual disability, epilepsy, language impairment, and multiple congenital anomalies caused by heterozygous mutation of the ZEB2 gene. The ZEB2 protein is a complex transcription factor that encompasses multiple functional domains that interact with the regulatory regions of target genes including those involved in brain development. Recently, it has been documented that ZEB2 regulates the differentiation of interneuron progenitors migrating from the medial ganglionic eminence to cortical layers by repression of the Nkx2-1 homeobox transcription factor. It…

Short forms of the Wechsler adult scales: a systematic review
2020
espanolIntroduccion.
Chr. in acht Etappen.
