Confidence bands for Horvitz-Thompson estimators using sampled noisy functional data

When collections of functional data are too large to be exhaustively observed, survey sampling techniques provide an effective way to estimate global quantities such as the population mean function. Assuming functional data are collected from a finite population according to a probabilistic sampling scheme, with the measurements being discrete in time and noisy, we propose to first smooth the sampled trajectories with local polynomials and then estimate the mean function with a Horvitz-Thompson estimator. Background Ameloblastoma is the most frequent odontogenic tumor. Various evidence has highlighted the role of somatic mutations, including recurrent mutation BRAF V600E, in the tumorigenesis of Ameloblastoma, but the intact genetic pathology remains unknown. Material and Methods We sequenced the whole exome of both tumor tissue and healthy bone tissue from four mandibular ameloblastoma patients. The identified somatic mutations were integrated into Weighted Gene Co-expression Network Analysis on publicly available expression data of odontoblast, ameloblast, and Ameloblastoma. Recursive estimation of the conditional geometric median in Hilbert spaces

International audience; A recursive estimator of the conditional geometric median in Hilbert spaces is studied. It is based on a stochastic gradient algorithm whose aim is to minimize a weighted L1 criterion and is consequently well adapted for robust online estimation. The weights are controlled by a kernel function and an associated bandwidth. Almost sure convergence and L2 rates of convergence are proved under general conditions on the conditional distribution as well as the sequence of descent steps of the algorithm and the sequence of bandwidths. The use of CLT has been increasing the last decade, and a subsequently focus on documentation of the accompanying indoor climate and exposed wooden surfaces on human well-being. This study presents the results of a measurement campaign conducted over one year of a CLT apartment building in Grimstad, Norway. The apartment building consists of three floors with 35 apartments and comply with the Norwegian passive house standard and energy grade A. Measurements of the relative humidity (RH), indoor air temperature and wood moisture content (MC) were performed in the exposed CLT spruce panels in three apartments in two different floors. As part of the ongoing studies on the genus Polycarpon Linnaeus (1759: 859, 881) (see e.g., Iamonico 2015a, 2015b, 2015c, Iamonico & Domina 2015), and on the Italian loci classici (see e.g., Peruzzi et al. 2015, Brundu et al. 2015, Domina et al. 2016, Di Gristina et al. 2017, Domina et al. 2017, 2018a, 2018b), we present here a note regarding Hagaea alsinifolia Bivona-Bernardi (1815: 7–8) [currently accepted (see Bartolucci et al. 2018) as Polycarpon tetraphyllum Linnaeus (1759: 881) subsp. alsinifolium (Biv.) Ball (1877: 370)].
