La desheredación del menor de edad

2021

This work aims to answer the eternal question of the disinheritance of the child under legal age. To this end, we will approach the institute of disinheritance, its foundation and its jurisprudential evolution. We will also address the capacity and responsibility of the child under legal age and the emancipated minor. Subsequently, we will carry out the study of the disinheritance of the child under legal age, subject to the whim of the specific disinherited causes, since each of the causes provided for in art. 853 Spanish Civil Code are endowed with their own idiosyncrasy, being very complicated, if not impossible, to deal with the subject of this work apart from the vicissitudes that can …

GREEN REVOLUTION AND BUILT HERITAGE: CONCEPTS AND PERSPECTIVES OF ENVIRONMENTAL REGENERATION

2021

Urban and environmental regeneration is now a priority on a planetary level, and the climate neutrality objectives set by Brussels inevitably require a new green and sustainable design of cities and a total revision of human behaviour in relation to nature. Environmental regeneration requires an inclusive practice of architecture capable of metabolising the adaptations and contradictions of the built environment. With this in mind, and with no claim to being exhaustive, we will examine some of the "enabling" conditions and "indispensable" reasons for leading a process of environmental regeneration of the built heritage, analysing the critical points relating to public responsibilities, the …

Caur mobilo aplikāciju iegūtās informācijas izmantošana administratīvo pārkāpumu lietās

2017

Darba mērķis ir izpētīt caur mobilo aplikāciju iegūtas informācijas izmantošanu pierādīšanas procesā administratīvo pārkāpumu lietās un tādas informācijas attiecināmību, pieļaujamību un ticamību. Pētījuma rezultātā autors ir izdarījis secinājumus par pierādījumu jēdzienu, pierādījumu īpašībām un pētījuma ietvaros tiek secināts, ka, situācijā, ja lietā nav citu pierādījumu, kuri apstiprinātu pierādīšanas priekšmetā ietilpstošu faktu esamību, caur mobilo aplikāciju iegūtās informācijas ticamība ir apšaubāma. Lai šīs šaubas novērstu, nepieciešams iegūt papildus pierādījumus.

A black-box, general purpose quadratic self-consistent field code with and without Cholesky Decomposition of the two-electron integrals

2021

We present the implementation of a quadratically convergent self-consistent field (QCSCF) algorithm based on an adaptive trust-radius optimisation scheme for restricted open-shell HartreeFock (ROHF), restricted HartreeFock (RHF), and unrestricted HartreeFock (UHF) references. The algorithm can exploit Cholesky decomposition (CD) of the two-electron integrals to allow calculations on larger systems. The most important feature of the QCSCF code lies in its black-box nature probably the most important quality desired by a generic user. As shown for pilot applications, it does not require one to tune the self-consistent field (SCF) parameters (damping, Pulay's DIIS, and other simil…

Media councils and self-regulation in the emerging era of news automation

2020

This report introduces the present state of affairs in news automation and discusses what ethical considerations it raises in the work of media councils. Based on a European-wide research project, the three key takeaways are as follows:1) Large media players use automatically updated counters and infographics, but the automated gener-ation of news text is still mainly experimental in nature. We need to keep our eyes open to the possible need for self-regulatory guidance on news automation, though there are as yet no urgent issues. 2) We must not underestimate the technical progress already made in the field. Issues regarding data, agency and transparency should not be overlooked when discus…

Vetrinizzazione vs. Devetrinizzazione

2008

2021

The subject of children at the table is related to that of conviviality on two levels. Firstly, at the level of the acquisition of social rules concerning the ways of being at the table, the codes of the meal, the recognition of appropriate behaviour in different contexts (at home, outside, formal, informal, etc.), in short, the "have to". Secondly, at the level of the acquisition of a general know-how, represented by all the somatic behaviours necessary for the consumption of the meal: learning to chew solid food, to drink from a glass, to use cutlery, to handle plates, bowls, soup plates, and so on. In this essay, we will analyse table objects designed for children (glasses, cutlery, plat…

Limits to Arbitrage and Interest Rates: a Debate Between Keynes, Hawtrey and Hicks

2018

International audience; This paper deals with a debate between Hawtrey, Hicks and Keynes concerning the capacity of the central bank to influence the short-term and the long-term rates of interest. Both Hawtrey and Keynes considered the central bank’s ability to influence short-term rates of interest. However, they do not put the same emphasis on the study of the long-term rates of interest. According to Keynes, long-term rates are influenced by future expected short-term rates (1930, 1936), whereas for Hawtrey (1932, 1937, 1938), long-term rates are more dependent on the business cycle. Short-term rates do not have much effect on long-term rates according to Hawtrey. In 1939, Hicks enters …

Determinants of Prescription Opioid Use : Population‐Based Evidence from Finland

2021

Background and aims Previous studies have shown that prescription opioid use is more common in the socioeconomically disadvantaged communities in the US. This study examined the area and individual‐level determinants of prescription opioid use in Finland during the period 1995‐2016. Design Logistic regression analysis using nationwide data on filled opioid‐related prescriptions dispensed at Finnish pharmacies and covered by the National Health Insurance. Opioid consumption was linked, using personal identification codes, to population‐based data maintained by Statistics Finland, which records individual background and area‐level characteristics. Setting and participants Working‐age populati…
